Huggel should be banned for lengthy period for starting the whole thing. I've said that. He's an idiot! It is beyond stupid what he did and endangered the safety of players.

Saying that, do you not think the violence was too much? Yes or No?

It smells racism here.I mean there was a fight, but the swiss footballer started it.Now why are we to be blamed? We are a pecaful nation, but we can't stand when our coach get kicked although he did nothing wrong. We can't stand when we are sweared at, sweared at our moms. You guys may think it's normal, but Turks are mediterrenean people; they are the nicest to you if you are nice to them, but if you wanna see them as an enemy, then think twice.Just because switzerland is a small country in mid europe does not mean they are right. If you had been neutral in this case, you would have also said a lot of sh1t that the swiss did.But no, because racism is in your blood.

And Damien Duff, please don't visit Turkey just like you said that you wouldn't.I'm still gonna live in peace with my hundreds of British neighbours in Didyma, TURKEY.

It's the same old story again.Whenever something bad happens in a turkish or a greek stadium, here they are those racist comments against the whole country.Turkey lost to Latvia two years ago in the play-off match, but nothing happened because obviously there was no provocation.I hate it when those things happen in a football match, but mediterranean people are far more sensitive to provocations. If anyone says anything about my mother,my family or my nation,I admit it,I won't stay there impassive and indifferent-and when this takes place in a stadium, too many people will react.
I was not sad that Turkey stayed out of the WC 2006-remember Greece and Turkey were in the same group and I believe Greece deserved more to be in the play-offs,but that doesn't mean I can't understand the reactions of the crowd to any kind of provocation.

That's a very poor excuse. Emotions are running high which is understandable but it's no excuse to turn violent.

Did any of you actually watched the video that Gimenez#13 posted? Racism? Provocation? Haha, fuck you!

The Turkish coach kicked the Swiss player, Huggel saw it and kicked back, after that Alpay, who only saw how the coach got kicked, attacked a random swiss player like a clueless twat. Download the fucking video and watch it, for fucks sake.

The game was very interesting but Turkey had bad luck because at Streller's goal they were all in Switzerland's half and the goalkeeper had no chance against. Tuncai's goal was too late ... but ... that's life.

How stupid can people get? and coward as well? "hey, I'll just start a fight, since there are turkish people everywhere and we're sure to win should a battle start"...

I'm not branding all turkish as violent, stupid or coward, just the guy who started it all...

Hi,

just to clear few things up here: FIFA CANNOT ban Turkey for anything !

Why ?

I would like to point out some things which happened earlier in football history:

1 - The match between England and Turkey some time ago: English football fans run after a goal on the field DURING the match.
England got punished or banned? Nope !

2 - Paris, Turkey against France: During the match, French fans attack Turkish fans. The face of one between 50 - 60 year-old Turk is destroyed with hosenkette. He could just save his life while he escaped onto the field.
France got punished or banned? Nope !

3 - The scandalous match Roma - Galatasaray: Italian policemen and footballers beat up the players of Galatasaray brutally, after a 2-2 draw. Security hit Turkish footballers instead of doing their job and protecting them!! Capello, Lima and other members of Roma are highly involved in the fight. 4 players of Galatasaray were seriously injured and instead of transporting them into a hospital, they were arrested.
Roma got banned from any European competition? NO !

4 - Year 2000, UEFA cup final in Kopenhagen: Arsenal hooligans beat up Turkish reporters nearly to death.
Arsenal got punished or banned? Nope !

5 - Champions League match in Poland: A Polish fan threw a handgranade onto the field. Yes, HANDGRANADE (!!!).
Any punishments or bans? No !

6 - Poland again, match between Poland - Italy: Polish fan throws a "butterfly" (weapon like knife) onto the field, which hits Nesta on the head !
Punished or banned? No !

7 - In Italy, Inter fans threw a motorcycle (!!!) on the playing field. WTF ??
Punished or banned? Of course not !!

....

These are only few examples of many. As far as I know only England got a official ban by FIFA untill now, because of a occurrence in a match where 34 people died..

What I want to say, the occurrences yesterday in Istanbul should not be exaggerated so much and are no sounding reason to exclude/ban Turkey from the Euro 2008 or WC 2010. Of course the happenings cannot be excused and Turkey must get a punishment, but NOT a ban of any competition. That would be ridiculous.

Cya ! :mrpimp:
