Nakamura summed it all up pretty much so here's my general opinion on this matter:

Porto has no goals for the season, has no "objectivo", the players show no interest for the victory, there isn't a man on the field who decides a match Deco-style. Porto bought young talented but non-experienced players. Pepe, Diego, Postiga, Quaresma, Fabiano... They don't show will to victory, no mentality, nothing!

There is not a n absolute doubt about it!

Porto is suffering from a serious Mourinho-Addiction...
The club and the team grew big time with Jose, but apparently................... THE LEARNED NOTHING!

----------Small Fact:

in 01/02, Porto was in trouble because of Octavio, and he got fired after Boavista beat Porto in Bessa, when Martelinho scored a goal from half line, coz Baia had been told by Octavio to go forward for a 90 minute corner. 4 days later Mourinho signed...

conclusion: Martelinho made Porto win the UEFA Cup, Champions Leaghue, 2 Portuguese Championships and 1 Portuguese Cup:crazyboy:

MY COUSIN SCOOOOOOOOOOOORED!!!

I called Hugo after the match, Pacheco and the whole team was really happy with the goal
:crazyboy: He told me he couldn't move his neck, I didn't see what happened...

Rádio Renascença has announced that Fernández is no longer Porto's coach. :(

Porto has also signed two more (!!! - how many does that make? 11? a full team? lol, kidding, 8 I guess) brazilians, Ibson and Leandro do Bonfim.

Ricardo Sousa no Graafschap

Rádio Renascença also says that the coach that will replace Fernández will be one of the following: José Couceiro, Manuel Cajuda, Carlos Carvalhal or Carlos Brito.

I just need to clarify something about Porto's trasnfer policy: the problem to me isn't that they're signing Brazilians. I'm not one of those ignorant xenophobes that unfortunately plague our football and country (and besides, I'm half-Brazilian, but they could be Chinese, Indian, American, whatever, that's beside the point). The thing is that they're ONLY signing Brazilians, in large quantities and with no apparent criteria. The problem is that many of them, coming from a foreign country, don't know Porto or Portuguese football. I don't doubt many of those players have quality, but with signing so much and with the disorder that's at Porto team, many of them won't be able to give their best and others won't even play!

It's clear that Porto definitely has the best players, the best squad in Portugal. But, they have signed too much, too randomly and have sold players that were certainties, that had given a lot to Porto and embodied their "mística".

I also don't doubt that with a new coach, Porto will be better (also, truth be told, worse would be almost impossible). But I still think it won't solve the main problem, which is the planning of the season, the squad management and the transfer policy, IMO.

Oh, well... But I don't mind if Porto doesn't recover so soon! In fact, I don't mind it at all! :crazyboy: ;)

Porto are buying exactly like Benfica a few years ago. Buying a big bunch of players and hope some turns out good.

Who do you guys tip for the next coach? Jose Couceiro? Carlos Brito?

it can be another shot in the foot to get an unproven coach atm, so Jaime would be the best option atm. He has the right personality to deal with the players at Porto who aren't working as much as they should.

LMAO Andre? I would pay to see that "sacho" in front of Porto

From the list the press presents, I'd take Pontes or Brito. I personally don't like Couceiro, but he might prove me wrong. I also don't want to believe in the Cajuda possibility.
Pacheco? erm... I think his style of being hard on training could help the players to actually start to run after the ball, but I don't think he suits Porto...
My personal favourite would be Camacho, but it seems that it's out of possibility, so I would take Pontes right now. Brito would be my second choice, then Carvalhal, then Couceiro.
Agostinho Oliveira is also mentioned... I really dunno what to think of that possibility...I've never thought of him before...

«Quero marcar muitos golos»

basically he says that wants to score lots of goals and he's happy to be at Benfica, a club so big like Barça or Real Madrid, and talks about the fact that he already scored goals against our biggest rivals (Porto and Sporting) in the UEFA competitions.

:p
