CPUAI pass accuracy must be reduced now!!!!!!!! from the pic it's super unrealistic...fuck... or I don't know if not properly calculated by the engine!!!
Because I remember I've intercepted a lot of cpu pass so the pass is bad, but the ea calculate only the pass who go directly out of pitch???
One reason player speed is important in this game is because YOUR TEAM has to be fast/quick enough to intercept CPU passes, otherwise the CPU can pass the ball around all day without your players ever getting close enough to intercept. That's the biggest reason for the high CPU pass %. My best games are when I raise Speed and Accel sliders into the mid-50s, then my players are responsive enough and have the speed to harass, hound, cause bad passes and intercept passes.

Also affects CPU pass accuracy: lowering pass speed slider throws off CPU pass timing, plus it allows your players to intercept more passes.

Also of course, I have CPU Pass Error slider at 90 when I play on Legendary lol. The higher the difficulty and the more the boost cheat effect, the more none of this matters as much, the CPU just does what it wants.

Thanks for the information. Especially about initfs. It will be useful for many people :).

We need to nail down the strings which affect each item of gameplay.

It looks like you have got fouls fixed. What section of your INI file does that? Have you grouped it together?

The reason pass accuracy is so high is because the CPU AI plays too many simple, high speed, passes. If we could get the CPUAI to start playing balls in the air then pass accuracy will reduce dramatically.

The issue with the Pass Error slider being so high is it affects crossing too, I know the description says it doesn't but it does.

The issue is the higher quality clubs as you can achieve low passing percentages easily against weaker clubs.

I usually have a high line slider allowing the back line to be involved in the attack and it allows for CPU balls over the top occasionally.
Width I usually set a bit high and length around 28 to pack the midfield.

I have noticed that setting the human length slider five or six points higher than the CPU keeps players in front of CPU attackers rather than behind them.

I reduce the marking slider a few ticks to keep defenders more zonal keeping them from being pulled out of position by attackers.

Does anybody else have issues with bcrypt.dll not working for them? Everytime I use someone else's initfs with a bcrypt my game never launches. Fidel's is no different.

Someone has figured out why some strings like "force injury red" work if inserted inside a locale.ini while others like adaptive difficulty no?
Also the strings about db chemistry that are similarly present inside the initfs don't work. I made a test settings those all to 0 in the locale but with no luck; zero effects

This is a very common problem and I think is an issue related to Windows OS components.
Try out the dll included in FrostyModManager_v1.0.3alpha3.
Try out this list fix and ms windows componets required - I've released for the 17.
But it's pretty the same problem. Anyway I suggest to fix this issue because otherwise in the future you aren't unable to frostymods, or shawminator tools or simple the inifs_Win32.
80 % users will solve following steps and by installing all win component updates from update catalog.
Follow only IMPORTANT - REQUIREMENTS section the link is here.
Avoid to download the Frosty fix because is the one included already.
Anyway don't worry we will solve the issue because it's very required.

In the pics atm you can't browse 18 gfx files but you can just assign in the db, and you can see a preview in the CM16.
You can edit all generic players appaerence in FIFA 18.

image preview - for example in the pic I'm editing cold open mod and make the required update.
In this case edit player isn't required because the db it's perfect and I don't want to touch anymore
but I've to remove icons from free agent and transfer to a team non in cm, like World XI etc,
so I'll do the transfers in cm very easy.

Can this really work or is it more to this than a straight edit of tha data base using CM 16?
Can we edit more than the players and what specific help you need with this? ( in literary not mathemthical words please)
Oh, and for regularcat, I appreciate your work very much on the forum and keeping the things together and I know it's very hard to keep everyone satisfied and enforce the rules. Only that sometimes too much of this enforcing can be damaging so if some people make minor mistakes because of their enthusiasm and desire to make something good for the comunity I think it can be overlooked without attacking them. So it's not a big deal if Supernova posted a comment in italian without translation, every language has unique expressions that translated in english would sound without sense or if Fidel likes to writte long strings of info and other stuff in his posts, all these people do something for us all.
On the other hand there are a lot of spammers that only annoy everyone, now those should be treated properly.

I see also my midfienders/defenders intercept wery well balls, etc.
The shot it's improved also. I've scored a goal from 30 meters and ball almost destoy the net. Player shot differently. Check out.
Inertia effect it's much more realistic now. Anyway need testing.
But in the match I see strange players vibrance, i think is there a string variable and must be removed or disabled, so I've updated the module in (include extra tweaks and try to fix the collision vibrance):

try to FloatPhysics=0 and try out if collsion is improved or worsened related to fouls and collision, otherwise normally must be enabled. Collision in some strings mean also ball-foot, so take care editing. Test in game.
render voice in these strings mean the calculation of related value in real time during the gp, collision, etc.
try out and let me know. Unable to try the new updated module, because downloading fifa update 3.
But you can try. Remember to re-apply mods after any official game update.
The agpe tool will be useful at every game title update, you can backup and patch in one click.

Hi Fidel, I did theese modify,I play in career mode whit the "vecchia signora".Now the GP is yet more slow, il piu' bello spettacolo dopo il big bang :D, ( famous italian song)

I noticed also the CPU more concentrated, and the defense very very hard do beat. In squad I did put to every player workdefense 2 ,I like so much.
About accuracy passes of CPU, isnt a problem because it is easy to fix,or by sliders ,putting 60 in pass error,(not more beacuse the CPU wrongs a lot of crosses).Or by custom tactic putting for example "long pass" to little teams.

Is it possible to edit random player faces and assign somebody else face to them via your updated version CM 16 (18)

For Example: I take face from D.Origi and put it also on Bakoyoko (Chelsea)
Both player have the same face.

I'm working now on faces that are similar to other players without scan faces (random)
I'll make a database and we will be able to assign this faces to random players

It should be possible right?

I like to speak with fifa game files and it's like we understand very well,
because we are using the universal language of mathematical numbers, functions, physics,
technical and mechatronic physics + robotics technology lab (AI, robot animations, PC hardware interface programmer and all related)
and this last one it's actually my life job. My job is to teach ultra expericed engineers who need an update in their skills.
In first place as usual I always have a lot of students to drive in this hard but beauty sector.

If I made a wrong word about anyone I'm very desolate atm because I'm always a true friend in the life.

...and so I want to do a demostration to everyone, but I don't make this before because busy,
if I release mods, I don't have time to write milion's post for how to make a mod.
For example it's much more easy to release and upload a mod for me.

So, from this post, I want to become very useful to the whole forum.
So for a little period I'll not release mods but I'll share my tips and support modders in related threads

Maybe I'll share during the day how to Hex edit the initfs_Win32 in order to customize as you want Frostbite configuration.
If you are passionated you can unlock in this file, global game debug, texture and resources debug, make cfg files working on folder and much more.
Some of these features require testing but I hope anyone have the free time for doing test, I'll share tips etc.
Is there also possible to disable crashdump, replay cache data and other features to improve and reach fps at all.
I think is there also a little possibility to enable a "VFS Mount Point" (already used in the game to load replay data or miniface in cache),
but in this case will be used to enable other files in customized folders and load in the game (need test also here and write the properly code.
But the best you can customize gfx settings perfect to your pc and properly adjusted, you can change and switch your recognized gpu profile, etc.
The tutorial will be out in an easy mode to do little edits and advanced tips with possibility to add strings and settings readed 100% by the game.
You can tweak gp, gfx settings and if anyone discover a way to improve particles water. I'll share also extra tips.

I'm not going out from sg because I've to always respect everyone during over than 10 years supported me and become happy with my mods every year in every fifa version.

TUTORIAL 1 - easy

Practically the file initfs_Win32 has more than 4 protection.
So now 3 protections has been unlocked, and the last one it's related to the file size,
and the default file size must be the same after edits. That's all.
So if you are already expert in Hex edit you understand that's very easy.
Otherwise if are not a big expert you can try to do a good job inside the file.

- Download and install HxD 2.0: https://mh-nexus.de/en/

- Download this pack with default config file, example mods and tips

- Below step by step how to disable adaptive difficulty (as example) and setup commons features:

- Open the initfs_Win32 from File menù or drag file on HxD icon
(switch to 32 or 64 Byte visualization)
- press CTRL+F and in search, type: ADAPTIVE_DIFFICULTY
and press enter or ok - you can see like this:


now in decoded text column highlight the value 1, like you are selecting text
I like to use only keyboard in my pc so I don't know, but if you like you can use mouse
1 in text=31 in hex values


now to disable AD, just press 0 in keyboard to edit and change the value:
so the file become 0 in text=30 in hex values


save file, enjoy.

You can do the same to enable grass in low gpu profiles, etc.
This is an easy edit but required in order to do the first training tutorial.
This time it's very easy because we can just overwrite an 1 byte value from 1 to 0,
so the file size will not change, and you can save and play.
For example you can start to tweak as you want using same method:
in search type: Mesh.GlobalLodScale
for example in my old patches I've edited only HIGH and ULTRA gpu profiles but you can change
the values also in LOW or MEDIUM gfx profiles.
Anyway here become a bit difficulty because to edit a value with value 1 (1 bytes lenght)
in order to edit value in 100 you need to "convert" to 3 bytes (and delete 2 bytes to match the default file size)
and I suggest to edit value in 99 in order to convert value from 1 to 2 bytes,
the effect it's pretty the same because 99 it's almost = 100 (for Lod effect ingame) but in this case with 99 you must remove only 1 bytes from everywhere possible inside the file
quick example:
in oder to edit (in low on med profiles):
Mesh.GlobalLodScale 1
to
Mesh.GlobalLodScale 99
you must delete 1 byte data in fake EA text information inside the inifs file.
Take care deleting, for example you can delete bytes from text like this:

For example in this region is possible to delete a lot of bytes in order to use to add other strings or patch default values.


To search/find default values I suggest to read the file inifs by adding the extension .lua and open it in notepad++
this isn't the file to edit, but only to display perfectly values and easy check where do the tweak.
So you can select the text string to search in HxD in order to patch.

Use HxD to edit the default file with method above.

Atm I'm downloading third fifa title update. I hope the decompressed inifs will work, not tested atm in update 3.
Included in the default config pack, latest Ultra High GFX settings mod, already shared in the forum.
Useful to check out how I've edited and also include the dll required in order to start game,
you can see also how to share the mod with good explanation of features, folder structure, etc.
or you can start to edit from my already released versions included in the pack or re-adjust.

Good modding - also wait other tips from community or new GUI based tools cooming but atm you can enjoy.
I think there are inside this file impressive potentials to break/patch many game features.
