the point about Honda was addressed by this guy:he's had an incredible season; started off playing for lowly VVV, where he impressed heavily and it looked like he would be playing for Ajax in the new year ... he decided instead to make the jump to CSKA (they would definitely have offered a more attractive financial package), and then scored on his Champions League debut as CSKA made the quarters ... now he's announced himself on the global stage with World Cup heroics (and a contender for goal of the tournament) ... he's not injury prone; he's just fast-tracked himself wherever he's been ...

Özil plays a free-role AM ... he can play on the wings, but his natural position is as a trequartista ...

Alexis is definitely a winger ... and a more genuinely two-footed winger I have not seen ... and that is in addition to his obvious flair and skill ...

Luis Suárez can play anywhere across an attacking trident (Ajax plays 4-3-3) ... he has creativity AND finishing prowess, so his versatility up front is huge ...

I just cant see him getting yet another midfielder when we have the issue of goalkeeper and defenders.

we have 17 midfielder's listed in the first team.

9ish defenders of which rio, vidic, wes and Neville are our most injured players on the team. Its just a matter of time before there out again. Our backup is Evans, Oshea with the young da silva twins and De Laet. The latter three not really ready for consistent first team action. Then there's the whole goalkeeper issue.

If were not careful those midfielder's will be filling in for defence... again. Hence why I keep saying your assuming there wanted.

Also looks like were going for that Sotiris Ninis in the AM sector which covers that hole.

As of today 1st July, Chris Smalling and Javier Hernandez are now Officialy Manchester United players.

The two new boys initially agreed deals to join the club during the last season, and their contracts are now effective.

There is a list of our players who are at least as injury prone as Robben, if not moreso.

We put up with them, why not Robben? He is better than every player on the list outside of Rooney...

We don't need any injury prone players anymore do we? Why would you want to add players to our injury prone list? Whats the point?

Regarding Honda, he'll be another Park Ji Sung. Just a backup player, not a starter.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure Hernandez will be given Tosic's number 14. Thats his number for the Mexican NT.

I was hearing on this World Cup show that Chicharito was supposedly linked to go on loan to Valencia. Anyone hear about that?

I guess he would get regular football there with them selling there star players. Not the worst move if true. Although I love to see him play for us.

Fergie already disregarded that rumor and has confirmed that Chicharito will meet the rest of the team during the us tour....

Loaning him out to a Liga team would be pointless. He needs EPL experience not La Liga experience.

Please tell me that he will be in Canada on July 16th?

maybe but he will probably play his 1st minutes in Red Devils shirt when he plays in 2nd half vs his old team Chivas in the inauguration of Chivas new stadium....

freakin gutted..cant believe David Silva signed for city. We didnt show interest at all.

Sir Alex is an admirer of Mesut Ozil

Help - The Glazers have to keep the club successful and they have to provide money to Sir Alex. It would be an absolute disaster for them if he walked from the club. Everything the Glazers do is geared to getting United to provide cashflow - they can only do that for as long as United is successful.

There IS money earmarked for transfers, don't believe the ABU's in the press.

well don't know about that but we could have put in a bid. SAF has other plans obviously and I believe we need some quality on the left wing.

Apparently were after Gary Cahill for 15m. English and would help with our injury prone defence.

MUTV have news on Rio - He may be fit for the Newcastle game, he won't be out for as long as reported in the press.

United returned to preseason training today. Obviously only the players not actively involved in the World Cup - Nani was there and looked in good spirits.

We'll see. I firmly believe that we don't have any more than 20 million pounds to spend this summer. With finances like ours, having anything more just doesn't make sense.

We've spent around 15 millions already on Hernandez and Smalling. Ferguson said we'll make one more signing. Lets see.

Sneijder is the latest name, I'd throw a party if that happened. Were more likely to sign Kaka.
