Free Kick in last minute of the match!

We had a semi-final game in some tournament. We were losing 1-0 and it was the last minute of the match when we were awarded a free kick on the edge of the area. Me being the best FK taker on the team, I stepped up, asked for my 10 yards, waited for the whislte, then whipped it, with my left foot, round and over the wall. I though to myself "IT'S IN!" then, bang off the crossbar....

It bounced down onto the line and out, then our forward ran onto it and headed wide....

we didn't score and we were knocked out...:(

wow... nice shot.. i still need to practice alot in free kicks.. sometimes they're just amazing.. but others.. :confused:

I have great aim on my shots and crosses, but no power whatsoever...i need to develop some sort of technique on my shots, because i have very strong legs, but can't get the ball to move quickly.

I use to have a similar problem.... you just have to remember to relax, and not to stiffen up at the last second. Like when you volley a ball, sometimes you can barely hit it, and it'll go like a bullet. If you relax, you'll hit the ball much better.
