Extra AFC teams have been added so the AFC Champions League 2 is added with real teams. A large number of additional CAF teams have been added, including all who reached the group stage of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup. The CAF Champions League is now full sized and the CAF Confederation Cup is greatly expanded. Tournament mode versions of these tournaments have been added as well.

All reported bugs which I have confirmed should also be fixed in the next release.

V8.1 is now in the final stages of development.




I started looking into doing this a few years ago, but never finished for some reason. If you succeed, I would be interested in using the edited set in this patch.

You would need to edit the crowd texture files. If I remember correctly, the parts of the texture which are to be recoloured (e.g. clothing) are opaque and the parts which are not to be recoloured (e.g. skin) are transparent. You will need to disregard the alpha channel values before editing and restore it before reimporting. You may need modify any alpha channel values from completely transparent to very nearly transparent as some modding tools do not maintain the RGB values for pixels with an alpha value of 0 when importing textures.




You need to enable it with FIP Tournament Manager before starting a career.




Mid game crashes are usually issues with pop-ups. I am guessing that you added a scoreboard and pop-ups for La Liga?




The FIFA 14 version of this patch is FIP14. While all content in FIP16 is available for inclusion in FIP14 and vice versa, both patches are different due to the differences in the games and have different priorities for content.




It is definitely a league I would like to see added to the patch in the future.




Delete the squad file. This is not a patch error, the likely situation is that you applied a new DB which was not compatible with an existing squad file.

Make sure FIFA 16 is closed before applying a new theme as it can not overwrite the launcher artwork when it is used. If you ghet the same error when the game is closed, try running FIP Theme Manager as an administrator.

Yes, but the maximum number of bench players is 7. Setting it to more causes the game to crash. This limit is the same in FC25 strangely.




Thanks for reporting this. The budget field is not included in the FC25 DB, so previous values are substituted in during the conversion process. The mistake was made due to generic Inter and a few clubs in similar situations having different IDs.




Did you regenerate?




FIFA 14 stadiums are not compatible with FIFA 16, I think they can be converted though.




I would recommend picking a stage which fills special teams, reduce the number of those filled by the number of Russian teams you want to add, and then fill that number of Russian Premier League teams to that stage. I would recommend not attempting to restructure the qualifying rounds unless you know what you are doing.




The error message is due to a compdata issue.

The age bug is an EA one caused by editing in-game.

You should see all UEFA competitions in the first season and beyond. Ignoring that setup screen is because they are hard coded to the old formats and do not include the UEFA Conference League. How did you disable the competitions?

New faces converted from FC 2025 added in this patch ? For example we have new Maradona face. It will be really nice to see.
Also national team kit updates could be nice. Some of them outdated.

Not sure if I understand what you're saying correctly, or if there's a misunderstanding.

But the instructions on

don't tell us to regenerate the bh files after using the FIP Version Manager when installing everything for the first time.

But that's what fixed my problem with not seeing any CL fixtures in my career.
I just used the FIP VM again, regenerated the bh files, started a new career, and had no more problems with this.

Hey community, I installed FIFA 16 and also FIPV8, everything is fine. It's really good, especially because it has more CONCACAF features. But I have a problem when I'm playing career mode and they offer you to participate in international tournaments. Well, everything is fine. I agree to participate and everything. But when the first game ends, it crashes and I have to close it. Is there a solution for this? Or what do you recommend?

Hey @scouser09, again thank you for the football gaming saving work you do, without this patch i'd probably would stop bothering with playing football games anymore as an offline player, anyway, as i've noticed the patches come out around January, March and June, as a pattern, more or less anyway, so my question is that if there's a possibility of eliminating maybe the June update so maybe release the patch when traditionally Sports games come out, August or September, to coincide with the football season kicking off?

The problem is that the product is so good that waiting for the beggining of the year is just painful, because you rationally want to play when the hype for the sport is on full throttle.

And an "End of season" update is the most easy to eliminate, imo, because you obviously want to release the patch and you want the January update with the transfers so the June update is the easiest to just ignore.

I'm not suggesting or demanding, this is just a question.

I am not planning to do this as FIP14 is HarryBullZak's project, not mine. Additionally, just converting them would unlikely lead to a stable or even working career mode. Further changes and adaptions would likely be needed.

No, there are 135 leagues in this patch, I would need many people making a large number of kit packs each to make this happen. All leagues have updated wipes. I want to compile a scoreboards/pop-ups pack but I am unsure if I will have time this season.

If by "UEFA edition championships" you mean the Euro 2024 finals, then they are already in the patch.

There is a new face pack, a new Maradona face would only be in it if it used the same ID as the Maradona in the DB. I am hoping to find time to update the non EA national team kits soon.

You should not need to regenerate after applying a version for the first time, as long as you regenerated after installing. UEFA NW was already applied by default, applying a version with FIP Version Manager would only overwrite those files rather than introduce new ones requiring regeneration.

FIP16 V1.0 (2016/2017 season) should be in the FIFA Infinity Download Center. There was no patch in the 2017/2018 season.

Do you mean pre season tournaments rather than international tournaments? If yes, can you explain in more detail? What team are you playing as? Who was the opponent? What other teams are in the tournament?

This is a fair question to ask.

The biggest thing you are not taking into account is material from FC 26 would be used to update the patch. This would not be available until after the game is released and tools are available to extract files. Manually doing these updates would be a huge waste of time.

The first release could definitely be brought forward if the scope of the update is changed. However, if certain things are not updated, people complain. For example, many people would have complained if I did not update the UEFA competition formats in the first release of this season, this was a big task. Notice how many people have complained that the non EA national teams have outdated squads and kits? It is important that the first version has enough updates to be satisfactory to most users.

I agree that August or September would ideally be a great time for the first version, but it is not practical. Even EA with a large professional development team do not release games until late September.
