DB Editing Tutorials, Tips and Tricks

I was able to change some kits in the kits table; I switched my team from a yellow visitor kit to some other team's white kit. But you'll have to tinker with that, overwrite your team's kits with others. The options are limited though.

Names cannot be changed in the tables, they might be accessible to edit in the meta file (other half of the db file). Open in Notepad and maybe see. Regularcat knows how to do that one, PM him maybe.

Frosty Editor is out and working, I got the full db to edit and load in-game. That's maybe what you need to start looking at if you want to make all these edits.

Now that you are working with Frosty Editor, can you tell me if editing BodyTypeCodes using FrostyEditor+DB Master and then importing the edited files (fifa_ng_db.db and fifa_ng_db-meta.xml) will mess up my current Career Mode save?

Thanks Bangus

I shall look into that

I'm unclear why you are asking me to spend time testing something you can test yourself. You understand that's what you just did, right?

No no!
I don't want you to do it yourself. I'm only asking if you did anything like that and know what would happen. That's all.

Okay, I will post a short tutorial on editing the db in Frosty Editor, then you can test whatever you need to.

Thank you Bangus, but don't worry. I already learnt how to do that.
I just need to test two things: 1)If I have to click on "Save" after re-importing the modified db and xml files, before creating a .fbmod for FrostModManager. 2)If changing the BodyTypeCodes will ruin my current Career Mode or not.

I'm going to make a backup of my files and then I will try that tonight and report back.

Yes, save whatever files you import back into the game. Then create a mod file. To check your mod in-game, just launch in Frosty Editor (button top left toolbar), and it will launch the game with your mod active. No need for Mod Manager (which I hear isn't working yet).

I use Fidel's mod through Mod Manager, I don't get any errors. Have I been fooling myself all this time? Was it just placebo effect?.

Do you mean you can't import Fidel's db into the editor?

I mean, when I export the db by frosty editor, this db is default and dont that I am using
The Frosty db is the full db with 160 tables. Fidel's older dbs are the squads db with only 40 tables. If Fidel has created a whole new db using the Frosty db with 160 tables, you might have to find that one and use it in the Frosty editor.

Hello guys, because the name of the player is deleted when I want to edit it ... value 0 ........ help
If the name value in the players table is 0: open the editedplayernames table and fill out the 5 columns: first name, last name, jersey name, player id etc. His names will now appear in-game.

What have you tried so far? Explain.
In "teamkits" table Arsenal had the kits from "teamkitid" 1344 to 1347, Aston Villa has a 1348 one, so i just swapped 1347 with 1348 in "teamkitid" column. That doesn't work.

Just export all tables from Fidel's squad then import them in the default db. That's what i did to play Fidel's db in the default one. The issue i may point is that process may kill modifications brought by db updates.

Please, can anyone tell me how can i import mod which is in .fbmod in frosty editor?

The mod I created using the frosty editor, I just launch via the editor itself, no importing/exporting anything.

I think i know how to do it. But if it's a mod made by someone else, like Fidel's mods for example, how can i launch it with frosty editor since it accepts only ".fbproject" when we click on open?
