I open this thread for collecting tools and patches for extending Commentary Call Names.

For installing new call names you need to use CM16 3.1.06 or further
Latest version is CM16 3.1.08 (added support for Arabic commentaries)

How to install a call names pack on your current FIFA 16
  1. Unzip the pack in a folder of your choice, check if the files are in .sps or .wav format
  2. With CM 16 open FIFA 16 as usual
  3. Click button Audio
  4. In the “Patching” section of the page click “Open Sound File” and choose your commentary language.
  5. Click the “Import Sounds (.sps format)” button or the “Import Sounds (.wav format)” according to the format of the files. Please note that importing wav files is much slower.
  6. Browse and select the files you want to import, wait for the import operation to be completed
  7. Click the Save Audio File button for saving the patched audio files
  8. Click the menu File\Save for saving the database
Please be aware that the sound name must perfectly match the surname of the player or the common name if it is not empty, including capital letters, blank spaces and accented characters. The original database do ont support all the accented characters, in order to have the full accented characters available there is an operation you should do once with your database. This operation must be done BEFORE to import a call names pack.

How to have the FIFA DB supporting all accented characters
  • Download DB Master version 24.0 or further
  • Open the DB you want to edit
  • Select the menu "Tools\Save and Patch Player Names"
  • Save the DB
you need to make this operation with your DB only once, after that all the accented characters will be supported.

How to install a call names pack on RFS
RFS db is ready to support accented characters.
All the steps are the same as above with the only exception of step 2:
2a - In CM 16 click “File\Open - Select All”
2b - Select the main FIFA 16 folder
2c - Select the database xml and DB files located in <ProgramData>\RFS\Templates\data\db
2d - Select your language DB from your FIFA 16 folder

Please note that <ProgramData> could be hidden, if you cannot find it, you need to change file explorer settings and enable the visualization of hidden files

How to create a call names pack
  1. In the “Exploring” section of the Audio page of CM16, select the file where the sounds are located, then choose “Generic Names”
  2. Check the the call names you want to export
  3. Click “Export Sounds (.sps format)”. SPS format is recommended because size is smaller and they are faster to import
  4. Export in a folder of your choice
  5. Some of the sounds exported could be “silent” sounds when the call name is not really available, you can recognize them because the size is 128 bytes. Unfortunately Windows Explorer rounds up the size to 1k but at least they are sorted correctly so you can easily find the last shorter call name that is not a silent one (for example it could be Tah or Bah). It is important to remove these files or the user importing the patch could replace an existing sound with a silent one.
  6. Finally create a zip and share it in this thread

No the filename describes the associated player and CM16 implement the association automatically.
Problem may arise just in case the name is not exactly the same as in the file name (for example Gómez \ Gomez). In this case the best way is to rename the file with extension .psp and import it again.

Is there any application similar to SM10 for FIFA 16 (or 14)? It would be wonderful to add chants to the game as it was in FIFA 10

It would be amazing if somebody did the same for 25's english commentary names. It would also be nice if somebody posted the audio files that make the music of CL/EL/ECL sound at the beginning of the match. I know Rinalo has included these sound effects in RFS but placing it in my FIP install didn't do the trick for me

I actually got the files from FIP patch so I wonder that they do not work for you. The files I (re)used are available in FIP patch.

I think you meant the Moddingway mod, cause it was Ariel who introduced this feature bavk in the days, not scouser. but yea, that's kinda weird

It would be great if we could assign through CM16 the default EA national anthems to teams that we create. In the case of the Classic Patch we would like to insert for example the Italian anthem to the various teams like Italy 1982, Italy 1990 etc

With Sound Master 10 you were able to do that in FIFA 10

that would be awesome!

could we also add existing default fifa 16 chants/generic chants to club teams?

match atmosphere in both cp's is somehow dull :D

What I said for English can be applied to other languages, if you provide a recent SBS I can extract sps files but then these files must be listen and renamed properly in order to be reused as a patch.
