Hi everyone,I’ve been experimenting a lot with the RNA.ini file in FIFA 16 lately because I’m trying to achieve the most realistic gameplay possible. What I’m aiming for is a really tough and balanced experience—where it’s very hard to score a goal, both for me and for the CPU. I want solid defending on both sides and a slow, methodical build-up from the AI, not just quick and chaotic attacks.I’m also playing with 45-minute halves, to simulate real fatigue and make the match feel more like a real game. I’m testing many things (even using ChatGPT for help), and while I’ve seen some improvements, it’s still not exactly the way I want it.Does anyone have any ideas on how to tweak the RNA.ini for these goals—especially in terms of defense and build-up play?Also, if anyone has suggestions about slider settings (especially related to passing) that affect the tempo of the game, I’d love to hear them. I’m particularly interested in slowing things down so that every attack feels earned and deliberate.

HALF_LENGTH=33
AI_SETTING_HALFLENGTH=33
in rn.ini file
then in game settings you have to set 20 mins, but stamina in game relates to 20 minutes unfortunately
Thanks you very much! Does the value 33 stand for the number of minutes in the half?

Hey there! Very nice to see that someone is finally a lover of a long and realistic gameplay here! Unfortunately I know nothing about how the cl.ini and rna.ini really works but all these things I found here seems to be inconsistent - the game changes seems to happen for like one or two games and then the game becomes like it always be - chaotic tiki-taka, shooting looks like an American football kick off with a power of a gun…

So it would be very good to see what could be changed in a still great game! Wish you good luck in this case!

I wanted exactly the same un this game i use a very high passing force so that the ball feels alive and I play for 15 minutes, but the fatigue…

Very interesting. I experimented a bit with my cl.ini file as well as the sliders in game. I have no rna.ini file, could you perhaps share your current result with us? I would be happy to share my cl.ini too. I particularly tried to make the CPU more aggressive and the goalkeepers weaker so that they make more mistakes, but evenwhen I set the in-game sliders to 10 on the GK they still don't make enough mistakes or are too OP. The game speed also feels unrealistic to me, so it is good that you really focus on that. Another point for me is that it is too difficult to score from corners.

Good morning guys,

Has anyone managed to make it not be an eternal tiki-taka? Yesterday I faced Wolves against Aston Villa. All or almost all of the plays are very similar. The pace, despite setting a slow speed, is still too high and vertical for me. First, I miss more long balls or switching sides, and second, the opponents facing you with certain players and trying to dribble. Has anyone achieved anything similar?

Hey buddy, should I add a slider to your mod? I play 15 minutes a half, and the most important thing about my sliders is a high passing and shooting speed. Do you recommend any changes? I'm going to install it today to try it out. :)

Can you tell me what the difference is between the rna.ini and cl.ini files?

I configure both with GPT chat and I'm testing, but I don't notice much of a change in the games.

Do these two configured files completely eliminate what you configure in-game? Time, difficulty, sliders, etc.?

I want slow-paced soccer yet fast-paced when necessary, playing games of about 20 minutes (10 per half or so), lots of fouls, few cards, and an aggressive CPU that's not impossible to beat. I can shoot and cross when necessary, and I can't overuse the first-touch pass, and of course, I can't miss the pass.

I've edited all of this many times, and I don't feel it that way. I don't play games with "top" teams either. That's precisely why I want the games to be tight, tough, with inaccurate teams, and most of them with few goals.

Am I asking too much? Is it difficult to express what I want on the field? :nim:

You nailed what I'm looking for, my friend: a controllable but unpredictable ball, not an eternal tiki-taka, but something varied...

Installed, friend, thanks a lot. By the way, do you know how to use Anth James' cheat engine? I think it also adds realism to the ball, right?
Yes. Just load the table in Cheat Engline and press CTRL+SHIFT+B on main menu when game has loaded. You'll see the difference. The game feels much smoother, especially with speedhack enabled.
