You pick a player that describes your Sg posting history. To try and make it interesting, you must pick someone who emerged or become relevant around the time you registered. You get a 1 season buffer so I can use someone from 2005-2007. Anyone from 2000 down can use any 90s player. Anyone from 2012 can use up to the current day because you're all still noobs.

Please make sure your choice reflects your style. It's gonna be so funny when you pick Messi but you're not.

Example: Let's say a poster joined around 2003 and was mainly active in the lesser parts of the forum (FIFA forums for example). He was mainly there as a modder, but he was pretty good at it. Around 2005 he starts being active in the Lounge and is really funny and witty but doesn't offer much in terms of proper conversation. He remains active for a few years but then he just vanishes. Total disappointment. Looked like hwas going to be a great poster and he totally let us all down. Every once in a while he might come back and post something funny but at this point it just makes us sad.

Which player embodies that SG lifespan? Robinho of course.

You get the idea. You can't pick two players, you pick one. And we will then mock your choice and suggest a better alternative.

I am totally messi. We both born in 1987. In 2002 I am already drawing attention in the reserves (cm forums). As soon as I make the step up a couple of years later there is a buzz around me. Yeah, im a bit quirky, don't look like a conventional star. But quickly I become the best in the world and stay there to this day. I haven't quite won the world cup (discovered naked LCs pictures or something of that legendary ilk), if I do, I will be undisputed best of all time.

Pirlo? I went off the radar for a while, but returned to the forefront around 2011 with the novelty of FM storytelling and two Draft championships...? Although my ''Milan period'' was less noteworthy than Pirlo's, I was a consistent squad player during this time. I'm just not quite ready to go the MLS. My career will last longer than his, no doubt.

I'm Didier Drogba. I started out as a Fifa noob, only posted in the soccer section a couple of years later due to friendships I made, but overall didn't make enough of a contribution to be noticed. I matured a bit and picked up the pace, as my post count grew so did my persona and had some glory years. Then a hiatus (China period) then a semi-hiatus (Gala period) and although maybe past it returned to the top due to my post count and wit obviously. (H)

Impossible. You were an active member of the Lounge long before Messi became a star. Messi is a transcendental star and you are not the undisputed king of your SG poster generation. Also you fucking abandoned us when we needed you and cambe back a few years later and started postboosting.

You're more like Ibrahimovic. Young star, moves to Ajax, gains reputation. Moves to a bigger league. When your team gets relegated you jump ship, then try your luck oversees before coming back and then fucking about apathetically until your career runs its course.

Maybe Xabi Alonso. We sort of knew you who you were and then bam, international championships and sh*t before you make a nearly as abrupt degradation back. The degradation part is still being written.

I'd say Xavi. You made your debut, you weren't particularly heralded but you kept going, became an underappreciated contributor before getting a sudden boom of acknowledgement and had a few glory years of consistent work before you kept doing the same sh*t and blocked more promising people from taking your spot (worst mod ever). Will probably jump ship to Big Soccer for big Paolo bucks.

I am obviously Robben. Emerged as someone with talent but took too many shot, tried to dribble too much and dove a lot. Also, balding. Got very annoying very fast. Kept at it, got a promotion to the big leagues. Showed some ability but only became truly worldclass when I moved to another league when a bunch of old stars had left (Bayern). Basically been living off the reputation of 2-3 glorious years, keep trying the same sh*t, occasional success but lots of injuries and frustrating play along the way.

I stand corrected

More like Pablo Osvaldo. Late arrival. Limited talents completely overshadowed by overwhelmingly obnoxious character. The one time someone took a chance on you (supermod/big money move to soton) was a complete, shortlived disaster.

Suarez makes sense.

Chygry is Tom Cleverley. Makes a very high-profile start, a high, ineffectual number of appearances. People try to justify his worth by pointing to his number of appearances that have done nothing but bring the club down. Absolute sh*t, somehow still around.

Marchisio - arrived on the scene when my team was relegated (or thereabouts) and have slowly grown in impact ever since, partially benefitting of the drop offs from other Juventus stalwarts

Actually a good pick. Also a forgotten man that gets lost in a midfield filled with big names. Good, not flashy.

Too tired to think of a player but my circumstance is: I was an annoying troll from 2000 - 2004, then was in a gray age til 2006, then I tried to turn it around from then till 2008. Hit my peak in 2010 - 2012 and then have not been that consistent since.

You're a hard one because your style is so out there. It's like having to find a player who only scored goals with his ass.
