Well i see that we dont talk about tactics much here so heres a new thread about it. Anyways what tactics do you guys prefer to use?? I personally love to play the 4-1-3-2. I see this as a greatly balanced tactic. I also prefer to have a more attacting tactic.

I use a 4-5-1, with a DMC, 2 MCs, an AML, and an AMR. I usually play it almost neutral, but with the defensive line holding back a bit. My wing backs and wingers are on an attacking mentality, though.

I use 4-4-2. With the two on the sides to be a little more attacking (have those "arrows" up to the attackers for them). Always works well, the team is balanced. Doesn't make to much room in defence, and the RM and LM can make good crosses into the box.

Usually I start out with 4-1-2-1-2, from which I work on to create the perfect tactic for the team I'm working with and change it every once in a while when the AI starts to adapt to the tactic...

It seems like a DMC and wingers is almost a must in this game. Zlatan you play with wingers too?

I've managed succesfully without either a DMC or Wingers. Although my squad was full of amazing players (H)

Maybe i just suck than, i need to have a DMC in my tactic otherwise it wont work like i want it to work.

well yeah i always start off with having a DMC, but as i get my squad how i like it and stronger, i'll move him up to MC, although he does still play a slightly defensive role it's not as defensive as when he played at DMC.

And with wingers, they're always good to have but with the right tactic and players i've played midfield with 3 players with 2 attacking and 1 more defensive, with the correct instructions and decent full backs it can work.

i'll usually play a 4-1-3-2 (with wingers) or 4-3-1-2 (with wingers). But recently i've been using a 4-3-3/4-1-2-2-1 with Man Utd as IRL.

i use a 4-1-3-1-1

the 3 midfielders and the attacking midfielder all go up. i lost about 4 games in three seasons with that one...:rockman:

i've played something similar to that but with 2 strikers and no AMC.

Here's my formation with Sevilla:

CB: Ocio
CBR: Anthony Vanden Borre
DM: Mascherano/Renato
MCL: Julio Baptista
MCR: Marti (c)
AML: Jan Kristiansen/Jesuli
AMR: Fernando Sales
ST: Dario Silva/Aranda

Works wonders, with a 65/35 attacking mentality.

This is my first season, and I'm only a few games in, but it's doing me well.

completly depends on the team I have. If I could make a tactic without worrying about the squad I would make a 4-5-1. It's simply the most versatile formation for me. The 2 MCs are very offensive minded, and I use 2 wingers

i've also used this one

i used dida, belletti, puyol, marquez, gio, xavi, deco, ronaldinho, giuly, ezquerro, shevchenko :hump:

basically always adapt some form of 4-4-2 (4-4-2, 4-1-2-1-2, 4-1-3-2, 4-3-1-2 even occasionally 4-2-2-2 or 4-3-2-1) :)
