yep. He and that DJ along with em were just recently the house band for the MTV music awards. I mean, I couldn't care less about the bands/projects that he's been involved in, but I don't wanna see the poor bastard die young so horribly....hopefully they'll make it through.

"Though early reports had suggested that DeGraw may have been on the plane at the time of the crash, DeGraw's father, Wayne, told MTV News that he'd spoken to his son Saturday morning and that he was fine. Farrell's manager, Peter Katsis, confirmed that Farrell was not on the plane."

RIP to those who died. I always have a morbid fascination with plane crashes, they just seem like a terrible, terrible way to go. Apparently Travis was badly burned from the waist down and the DJ has been badly burned on his face. It amazes me how planes seem to just completely self-destruct if they crash into something after failing to take off. You'd think being on the ground was safer than being thousands of feet in the air...

Wow, I was in shock when I first read the news yesterday. My favourite drummer and perhaps favorite musician almost died.
But let's first and foremost pay respect to those who died. Rest in peace.

It was stated on Travis & DJ AM's myspace that both are expected to make a full recovery, BTW. So that's good news.

Can't stand the guy as a drummer (he's done well in his projects but I feel he's an antichrist for cymbals) but it'd be tragic for him to die so young. I'm sure he'll pull though.
