If you've ever spent some considerable time in Fla and have mingled with the locals, you know how dangerous this new law might sound at first, but on the other hand, if you've witnessed the police force over there first hand (or in any other state for that matter), I suppose you can justify it in your head that this might not be such a scandalous mandate after all.

I'm really ambivalent when it comes to the gun debate in America, you know? Having people in my immediate family being faced with having their personal property robbed of them with deadly force, there's a side of me that believes that Law Enforcement can't protect you from the ill will of others. They can some times intervene while the act of crime is going on, but mostly they're (not saying it's always their fault) only present in the aftermath. But on the other hand, I've come into contact and confronted (some of the times due to me being inconsiderate and downright rude) a lot of irascible, potential trigger happy mother****ers who probably could've generated sound reasons in their minds for blowing my head right off my ******* shoulders, man. And that's what gives me a bit of a scare, you know? I don't know, man. It's probably the irrational and fearful side of me that's painting pictures of rather innocuous situations leading to the use of arbitrary deadly force by locals.

No one really knows what the outcome of this new law will be, but I don't know if this NRA stronghold (Fla) is a sensible place to trial test this out. It's a state with mortifying gun related crimes statistics. Some 30, 000 incidents involving guns, 2, 000 leading to deaths yearly and don't forget the terrible history of child on child gun occurrences.

We'll see.

****! I had a poll in mind for this thread, but was just too ******* slow in making up my poll options.

WTF??!! and i thought i had seen it all...how retarded can you be to approve such a law?? oh wait...you only need to be Bush's brother. :kader:
i'm glad i don't live in Florida, i feel sorry for their residents who only want to live quiet and peaceful live.:nape:

I'll take ma peep out and slap a Floridian accross the pus with it. See if he has the baws tae shoot me or no then.

7 year old's response to the law officers after shooting president:

"He's scary, I wan't my mommy"

This country is so ****ed up sometimes.

I mean, all the time.

Should i laugh or cry at this retartedness? It's like Britney Spears is creating laws in america.

What do you expect from the Bush family?
Drunk driving, ill timed comments about poor people, hushed up associations with morally bankrupt oil sultanates and hot, irresponsible, and sluttaaaay offspring

but what do you expect with a question like that?

This country is going into the god damn toilet. Taxi for.....me

I can't believe this.

Maybe if someone has a link to the direct text of 'the law'... I'll google it. But it just sounds too weird to be true.

there's a link: http://mrzine.monthlyreview.org/vogel041005.html

Doesn't any law have to pass by some Congress first, and the congressmen, elected by the people, agree to it? I mean in some logic, the people of the state have chosen to apply this law. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm no expert in US law establishment.

CSI miami will have a handfull these days.

State House and State Senate.

State laws don't need a Federal OK.
