Most games have beta demos and it's good for the companies as well to hear feedback from testers. They don't even need to pay us ;)

It doesn't need to be now, but hopefully in June/July where there's still time to make changes in coding.

No, i think its too early and people might get the wrong idea about the game

right now is only at 20% complete.. but when its beta version.. then it wouldnt be a bad idea

Yup, a beta demo is a must, they did it with championship manager 4, and it turned out to be a great game...

I have to agree because in recent times the demo is based upon the finished version of the game, and at which point any bugs found would be too late to rectify before the game would go gold.

I'm all for a beta demo... that way we can try it out and give EA our input. :rockman:

The problem with the FIFA 2003 demo was that it was released far too late, and the copious amount of bugs in it, as a result of substandard testing, meant that we ended up being lumbered with a poor game.

Did EA ever think of a patch before the plans for FIFA 2004 hit the drawing board?

Whatever way a public beta demo would help them resolve issues at a stage whereby they would be able to sort such problems out then, rather than at the last minute. They should listen to the public more and more for freeback if they want to make their game the most realistic...

EA never releases patches for fifa games.. at least they never had as of now.. by the time the bug was noticed they were already working on fifa 2k4.. at least thats what someone from EA responded to someone in the forum when asked about a possibility for patches

Well in that case anyone with FIFA 2003 should be able to buy FIFA 2004 at a reduced cost then (H)...

Anyway EA have released patches in the past, only that the last one was three years ago when there was a graphics card fix for FIFA 2000. The only gameplay patch of note that I know of was that made for FIFA 98 which fixed some odd problems with the offsides and breakaway logic of the CPU AI.

There is a patch for 2002 Fifa world cup, to fix the ball appearing at the player's feet suddenly. Or was that for Fifa 2002, couldn't remember.

Exactly!

I think they released a patch for FIFA 2002, which supposedly fixed the positioning problem (remember that? you assign somebody as right wing in game, and they actually play up front?). But that patch was totally useless, it didn't fix anything for me.

yep...i remember, sumone said it did.....the rest downloaded and it didnt do squat...

that was a major boo boo...the FORMATION...fer gawd's sake

Great idea :rockman:

I think there should be a beta demo so we could point out a number of bugs (i don't suppose there won't be any) and EA will have some time to fix them before even the final demo comes out.

I am absolutely for the beta demo!

Yes, i'll all for it.

I knew as soon as I played the FIFA 2003 demo the game was going to be buggy as hell.

no, dude.. im not that stupid :D

i remember there was a patch for 2002 world cup using the auto update EA sports has. We didn't know what it was for but someone says he called EA and found out it fixed the ball appearing at player's feet suddenly.

I'm for a beta demo, and I think they should release it very early like you said:)

I'm all for a beta demo! And let's not forget demos for the console gamers out here.

Peace out...

You should put this in the official EA SPORTS forum, they'll respond to it and besides didn't they already say there wasn't going to be anu community beta testing?

Maybe this is just a waste of time. If they've already said no, just wait for some movies and better footage, etc. :) Maye a large preview!!! :D

NK.

in the chat they said there wont be a community testing... but they still may choose some people.. who knows.. but it wont be public
