FOOOOOOOOOOOOORZA JUVE!

It's widely referred to as the Juventus Arena, but the official name of the stadium will be sold to a sponsor.

hah (H)

don't confuse the lack of tickets sold in recent seasons to a lack of passion or interest from the populace ... Juve are the first top-flight Italian team to get a new stadium for a long time ... and they'll be the first Italian team to own their own stadium (!!) ...

if they're competing for European trophies again, the crowds will throng ...

Man, I remember watching Champions League games back when Zidane was there and the stadium was empty.

I think we've talked about this before: the Delle Alpi sucked; the crowd were too separated from the pitch and they hated it ... one can understand the problem when one sees that they were able to build the entire new stadium inside the old Delle Alpi ...

Anyway, Italian stadiums are always empty. This Juventus new one looks beautiful, very british.

Yeah we've definitely talked about this before.

Agree with Arnau, it looks fantastic. Amazing that they're the first Italian club to own their statium? How is that possibly true?

all others are owned by their municipalities (or in the Olimpico's case, by CONI, the Olympic Committee) ...

Most teams are planning on building their own stadiums as well, we were just the first in Italy to own our new arena. No one wants to play in decrepit stadiums anymore. No more stadium sharing, either, if those plans are ever realized. Merda and Culan each have plans for their own stadiums, as do Lazio and Roma.

New season, and with it comes new hope. Sadly, I don't see us doing any better this year.. although I hope I'm wrong on this one. We need to make a big transfer this summer (fingers crossed for Kun Aguero) and get rid of all the deadwood.

Edit: btw, here's some pics of the almost finished new stadium:

I can't believe Juve decided to sign Pepe and Marco Motta permanently. They were TERRIBLE last year, and added absolutely nothing to Juventus; no skill, no nothing. They signed Matri and Quagliarella aswell, and I like them, but it makes you wonder about the World Class signing they promised to make. These 4 (mediocre) players alone just cost Juve around 37 million euros... What do you guys think? :(

Simone Pepe is a mule ...

Marco Motta, on the other hand, showed real promise a few years ago, during the time when he was the Azzurrini captain ... but he hasn't progressed at all since his move to Roma -- where he looked like a genuine diamond-in-the-rough at first, but somehow faded soon after the move was made permanent ...

I like Quags ... I don't think there is anything mediocre about his ability, but he needs to stay fit ...

the big-name signings are supposedly on the horizon ... Michel Bastos is the first name, for whom negotiations are apparently at an advanced stage ...

then there is Giuseppe Rossi, who would be a star signing ... Barça dangled quite a lot of cash before cooling their interest, so Villarreal may not compromise on their asking price too soon ... and apparently Inter are sniffing around as well, having missed out on Alexis ...

I think you guys still need solid defensive reinforcements ... but you'll probably have to sell from that department first, to clear up some squad space ...

they apparently have 50 mil to spend this summer, outside of the money spent on completing the purchase options of all the loanees ...

I really hope we sign a big name this summer. Marotta can go **** himself if he goes after another second-rate striker like Vucinic and doesn't give it a try for Aguero. As for signing Bastos.. hope we get him, he's tons better than Pepe.

All presidents and GM's we've had over the last 5 years promised us ''CHAMPIONS'' and didn't deliver... It's difficult to stay confident and optimistic. :(

But this is one gooooooodlookin' stadium! Can't wait for our first game there.
