How can i improve my sprinting over winter. What is the best method? Keep in mind that i won't be able to run outside. Should i swim a lot, should i work on parts of my legs to make them stronger and then sprint faster by force or should i just do the running on that moving lane machine in the gym?

I know that you should build 'explosive' muscles in your legs. That way you will have more thrust when you sprint. To do that you should work with a lot of load. That's all I can help you with. I know it works.
Sprinting technique is also important. Learn to know when to use short and long steps. Like, when you start you should use short steps to reach maximum speed faster, when at max you naturally use longer steps.

Simple, first walk for 15 yards, then jog for 15 yards and then flat out sprint for 15 yards. Continue to do this untill your really worn out. The change in pace gives you the better attributes (agility, acceleration and stamina) to slightly improve your pace.

You can only do so much in regards too pace, I would advise also, getting miles into your legs. Go for long jogs, the more your legs are used to running the better they are going to perform.

Exactly what i would advise. It helped me tremendously doing this repeatedly.

Thanks, but which ones are the 'explosive' muscles?

In all honesty it is so hard to get faster than what you naturally are unless you work on it from a very young age.

Buuut... you'll need strong quads and groins... and calfs for the take off.
