FIFA 07 Windows 11 issue

Has anyone been able to run this game on w11?
i tried and i get black screen or crash

so its not really a windows 11 issue, maybe only a directx issue

well it says 9.0c is needed. weird because i have installed it and this message still appears
and if i enable DirectPlay windows feature i get black screen/crash as mentioned above
if i disable it i get this error

thanks guys! its weird because in system requirements it says directx9 but apparently it needs directx 8, you were right.

It could be some mistake in Windows.
FIFA 07 is the last DirectX8 FIFA game on PC (DirectX version 8.1).
FIFA 08 was the first DirectX9 game.

Happened with me recently, but in Steam Deck OS. Windows 11 still works flawlessly here.
I gave up because i believed be an Linux issue, since Windows don't displayed any errors. I'll try to replicate this on Windows to see what cause this.

bro for me it happened because i had discord open. when i closed discord or used discord web i no longer had this problem

Any chance that you have a tutorial for what you did here in order to work?
I am struggling for the past hours and I can't make Fifa 07 work on my Asus ROG Ally with Win 11 home, I run NFS MW 2005 with no issues.

ASI Loader+d3d8tod3d9 gives stable FPS, but, sometimes, game fails to load backgrounds, letting you with a black screen on menus.

Reshade won't apply to game because of game being DX8, this is one of reasons to have d3d8tod3d9.

Try to put this registry shell too(put in notepad and save as "something".reg), since original FIFA 07 registry entries won't allow game folder to be moved:

Try to put this registry shell too(put in notepad and save as "something".reg), since original FIFA 07 registry entries won't allow game folder to be moved:

Reinstalled Fifa07 new, did the asiloader (fifa clasic faces), put the d3d8.dll near the .exe, got the .exe for ver 1.1 so the asiloader would work, put that .reg file.

Still after I try to lunch it it goes black and then close without any explanation

Hi, trying to use the registry entry it gives an error saying that the file selected is not a registry script and that you can only import binary files of registry from the regedit

Use dxvk, for me worked, choose the folder x32 an copy d3d8 and d3d9 to the folder of your FIFA

What worked for me as a Windows 11 user:

1. Download the Legacy DirectX Components (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109) [This was made specifically for games before 2010]
   
   
2. Extract these files to a separate folder. I done that on my desktop. Run the DXSetup within your folder of extracted files, to install the Legacy DirectX Components.
   
   
3. Visit folder that contains your FIFA07.exe, right click on it. Go to Properties > Compatibily > Run on Windows XP Windows (Pack 3), Tick Disable Full Screen, Tick Run with Administration.
   
   
4. Restart your PC.
   
   
5. Enjoy FIFA07!

I spend like 10 minutes looking over the web, nothing worked. I told Copilot my issue, and followed it's instructions, and voila.
