Clarification On National Teams & Career Mode

How many national teams can one add to the International League before experiencing crashing in career mode?

Can alternative tournaments be made? Do they work?

I've been looking around on here (trying to do my homework) to see how much of this I could answer on my own. I'm wondering if any editors could help fill in some blanks. I saw that at least one team (Armenia) was added by the makers of the EEP patch. They didn't experience a crash.

I also saw that the Brazilian patch added 73 national teams but put them in another league called International II. The motivation for this was unclear, and I was unable to determine if this worked in career mode.

Lastly, RobbiePL is planning a huge addition of national teams, but when asked if they would work in career mode, he did not answer.

Is this as much as we know right now? What barriers have we identified? I just bought the game so I'm trying to catch up!

If you have more than 60 national teams in the game it crash.
Because there a limit of 30 internationals friendly matches at once.

we may be able to increase it by increasing the available number of matches to be played from 30 to a higher number.

if someone has more than 60 national teams in their game, i will edit the text file to see if we can increase the number of matches.

whoever has the teams installed will need to do the testing.

I'm a minimum of a few weeks out before I'll have that many added. I'm working on another project at the moment. Will get back to you.

Alright I made some headway on this issues. You can easily add more than 60 national teams.

For each national team:

1. Under the teams tab, make sure you set the country value to the correct country for that team.

2. Go to the countries tab, link that country to their new national team

3. Under the league tab, Add the team to the International league

To add more than 60

1. Go to the tournament's tab. Go to International Friendlies --> Friendly

2. Look at the schedules. You will see 8 legs.

3. Click on the first leg

4. Then click on the date (Saturday, September 06, 2014 4:00pm)

5. When you click on this, a few new options will pop up.
Namely, Games min: 30 max: 30.

6. Change Max games to a higher value. If you add two new teams, add 1 new game.

I haven't tested yet how high you can increase this.

I also haven't tested if there is a limit to the number of teams that can be in international league

Another important point, make sure all national teams you add have exactly 23 plays and exactly 3 goalkeepers.

Also, Make sure each one has all of their assets.

Ive done what you say and still crashing, I have 131 national teams to the International League, all the teams with their respective country. I am trying to create a World Cup with all the qualifiers. Someone knows which is the limit of teams in the tournament?

I tried with min: 30 max: 60 and min: 30 max: 70, and still crashing, the tournament work fine with 100 teams. Is some way to add the other 31 teams.

I never got it to work in tournament mode. I gave up. At least for now. I think someone got a gold cup tournament working in career mode but I'm not certain. When I'm in the mood for national teams, I just play tournament mode.

Maybe I'll come back to this. Life on my plate right now.

I just want it for tournament mode not for carrer mode, I have created some other tournaments and they worked fine, but this one crashes when I add more than 100 teams. Inside FIFA I try to create a custom tournament with the international teams and it crashes.

I suspect the problem is not the number of teams. You probably just have such a large tournament that you're missing where the mistake is. Start taking some screenshots of the tournament structure?

The tournament I created have six qualification rounds, a Group Stage with the qualified teams, round of 16, quarter finals, semi finals, third place match and the final. Everything worked fine till I added the matches of the AFC qualification (a total of 46 teams). I added 85 teams (including UEFA, CONCACAF and CONMEBOL) and worked. Ill post screens later.

So that's definitely the way to add stages and new teams to the competition. But, it is telling you that the problem lies somewhere in the AFC part of the competition. What happens if you remove AFC from it. Does it still work?

Yes, it works if I remove the AFC teams.

It does get very difficult when there are a ton of teams in a tournament. I broke mine up into 7 different tournaments for that reason. One for each confederation then the playoffs leading into the finals. I am almost certain that you can get the large tournaments to work, but I wonder if it is worth the headache.

I was thinking on doing that , put every qualification on its own tournament, but does it keep the places of the teams if I play every qualification, eg if I qualify Azerbaiyan of UEFA, Oman of AFC, Trinidad and Tobago of CONCACAF, Peru of CONMEBOL and Nigeria of CAF. No, you have to add/replace them before you start that tournament (if you're in tournament mode).
