Game crashes in career mode (Uefa NW, first season) when I try to advance in the calendar after the third round of the FA cup against Huddersfield. Playing as Man U. But it may be irrelevant. I believe there is a problem in advancements or initteams, haven't investigated further.

Edit: Created new careers and the problem did not occur in them.

Did you still use the same team or a new one altogether?

I started new career still get the same crash after FA cup 3rd round (12th January) first with ManU and then with Rotherham. When I started a new career with Brest, I didn't encounter any crash

Same for me. Everything works well on career mode, except for the Nations World Cup. It look like this in every try I did. Anyone know if is posible to fix it? Thanks by the way for the Mod

Hi! The patch is excellent, thanks a lot for the great work.
I would like to ask two questions. These are simple questions, but I've been editing PES for fifteen years and I've never touched FIFA. I apologize beforehand.

1- How do I make transfers?

I have tried to update Boca Juniors' transfers to February 2025. I have saved in CM16, but it only updates in the ROW version. When I change to another version, the original lineups from the patch continue. When I return to ROW, the original squads appear again, and the transfers are lost.

2- How do I install new minifaces?

I've downloaded an updated Football Manager face pack, which has updated photos of a large percentage of players. It's simple to change them with CM16, but I found some comments that they were visible in edit and friendly mode but not in career mode.

I can confirm a crashing issue in February, sometimes January, when playing with Premier League or EFL teams in UEFA NW. It seems to be because of the focused tournament limitation, which is very strange as this was tested without issues. I particularly remember testing the new FIFA Club World Cup format and confirming that it did not work when playing with Premier League teams in UEFA NW, but worked when it was removed. The best explanation I can give if this is the case is that I fixed an issue with UEFA competition qualifying rounds dates afterwards. Possibly this meant that the problem rounds where being ignored and not counting towards the limitation, but did after the issue was fixed. As a short term solution, remove the EFL Cup from UEFA NW to prevent the crashig. If I confirm the cause is the focused tournament limitation, it may be the case I will need to reduce some qualifying rounds in the UEFA competitions to fix the issue. The specifics of the focused tournament limitation are not currently known, one theory is that it is related to fixtures.

For anyone with incorrect flags or league logos, make sure there there are no permissions issues to the subfolders in "data\ui\artassets\" and "data\ui\imgAssets\", they should not be set as read only for example. Different assets are swapped in all versions to make the patch functional in career mode. After correcting you will need to reapply the version with FIP Version Manager for the corrections to be added. If you have made edits to the DB or compdata, you should create a backup and then apply the backup with FIP Version Manager. You can also try running FIP Version Manager as an administrator to gain needed write privileges.


Here are a few things I forgot to mention in the release notes, but some users have mentioned:

In UEFA NW, a new technique was used to circumvent the formations limitation. This involves duplicating formation IDs, this was implemented by using the same ID for clubs with the same formation. If this is found to be a problem, some leagues will need to be moved from this version to another to restore individual formation IDs and avoid exceeding the formations imitation.

It is not possible to replicate fixtures like the real UEFA Champions League. Ultimately, it is the first 8 games of a single round robin with teams ordered to get the best results. I think about 26/36 teams will get good fixtures apart from maybe playing teams from the same country.
1. Some teams will play 3 home games and 5 away games. Some teams will play 5 home games and 3 away games.
2. Some teams will play 3 teams from one seeding pot.
3. Teams may play other teams from the same country.
It may be possible to fix issues 1 and 2 if someone can figure out how to enable a custom schedule for after the first stage of a competition.


I mentioned this in the release notes and I will mention this again, if reporting career mode bug, give as much information as possible. Sometimes I need to replicate a bug in order to understand it and fix it. If the bug was introduced by the user, knowing what changes have been made may help me suggest the cause and/or a solution.
-What version are you playing with?
-What club you are playing?
-Did you use the default tournaments or customized them with FIP Tournament Manager?
-Very specifically, when does the crash happen?
-Any changes you have made or mods you have added?


Since most people will want updated squads for the FC 25 teams soon, I will wait until they are added before moving towards the next release. Based on past years, it will take about another 3 weeks for EA to release an update with full January transfers. While waiting for this, I will spend time fixing reported issues, making improvements and maybe adding a few new leagues.


Let me know if I missed anything, many posts needed replies so it was easy to miss something.

While it is better for feedback if people play the patch without edits or other mods, I can not expect people to do this. I do want them to mention what they have done when reporting bugs though.

My game crashes in Career Mode when playing Como vs. Monza. The crash happens while loading the match. I recreated it in Quick Mode, and it crashes there too. Can anyone help me with this? I want to know if it's the patch or something that i didn't know Could it have something to do with the facepack? I already have a facepack of around 25GB, so I didn’t download the FIP facepack.

Based on your description, it could be a face settings issue. Manage your faces so the DB settings reflect the faces you have in your game, the DB is set for the ones included in the patch only.

Put a transparent team crest file (256x256) as "data\ui\imgassets\crest\stadium\stadium_0_0_0_0.dds".

1. Nice. Even if there's still only Euro and South American qualifiers in Career Mode, at least now it seems we'll have a more realistic World Cup.
2. That's not what I was asking; I remember when I tried my hand with CM16 that there was a cap of 9,000 Career mode fixture dates or something around those figures, that if you tried to add too many tournaments you'd crash the game from the fixtures adding up. I thought you had made it so you could play with all these teams together in one Career like in FM, that's why I asked.
3. Oh, I see. It's something I've been wanting to do for a while (and was able to in F11); can I pull up CM16 and change it if I want to?
4. Yeah, I checked the FIFA Infinity page later and saw that, so I deleted that question from my post. Kind of a bummer, but given that I might be spending most of my time in Career Mode (and I couldn't do any modifications to the WWC anyway other than changing which teams are in the game), it's okay.

2. Could you explain your findings in more detail, this is quite interesting. Could this limit be on focused tournaments (the ones visible in the fixtures menu) rather than all tournaments?

A clean install is strongly recommended.

In Creation Master, in Manchester United roster, the specific linked formation that appears is Bristol City. Why is that.

A feature of the patch is using socks from a different kit in the event of a colour clash. This can be disabled by removing the line “setGlobalKitAlternateOptions(2,2)” from the file data\fifarna\lua\assignments\general.lua

Is Romanian third league already in the patch?

Only as a partial league consisting of 2 divisions of 10 teams each. The real league is 10 divisions with 10 teams each.

I do have a scoreboard tool for the patch, I intend to add it when I add some additional scoreboard options. It has been included in FIP14. I have not used other options so I can not recommend the best one.

The new FIFA Intercontinental Cup tournament is similar to the old format, except the UEFA team gets a bye to the final and there is no host team.

Can you be more specific about the crashing issue, I could not replicate it. Is the wrong names issue with text for logos?

Hi guys, I've tried the career mode, in UEFA NW mod, with a english team. I disabled the FIFA Club World Cup, as it says in the description and I've found two issues through the first season:

1. In any European Cup, at some point, two teams from the same country will meet in the group stage.

2. The career (simulated) crashes every time in January, all I've done in CM16 was to regenerate and apply "manage face type" and save and of course I applied the "install career mode compdata" in Tournament manager.
Any idea how can that be fixed? Thanks

1. I can not prevent this.

There are some career mode crashes, as previously mentioned, and in the Greek 2nd division North Group you can't play a game, it always crashes before you enter the first match.

When playing the first World Cup in 2026 in career mode, the World Cup doesn't play as shown in the picture
I checked it with only the patch on the original version, so it's clear that the patch is the cause.

These crests are not from the patch, you must have added them yourself. Maybe they where included with a scoreboard? Restore the folders "data\ui\imgAssets\crest*" from the patch download to restore the patch versions.

Btw, the "Edit player in career mode" and "Restart match in Carer mode" features are missing, can i get them now after i installed the patch already?

I could not replicate this. The edits for this are in the following files, if you added a new menu theme they may have been replaced them with versions without the edits to enable those features. In the original game, they needed to be unlocked.

I have encountered a problem when I add a mini photo of a footballer, it is only displayed if I play a friendly match or if I select the team in edit, the mini photo of the footballer is displayed, this does not happen if I start a career in the team, the mini photos of the added footballers do not appear but remain the default faces

Thanks for reporting this. All players with patch IDs (those without EA IDs) changed IDs to a new range due to EA starting to allocate players in that range and needing a bigger range due to the large number of new leagues. I will see if anything can be done.

Can anyone confirm? My Career Mode always crashed after January 12th, currently playing with UEFA NW version.

i have a problem, Whenever I'm going to play a quick match, I choose the game ball, but it never works, the championship ball that the home team plays is always used in the match, is there a way to solve this?

This is a choice not a bug to ensure the real ball is used in each tournament. You can remove the specificball files from data\sceneassets\ball\ if you want to select the ball from the menu, but you will prevent cup and winter balls from working.

I've just downloaded the patch and played a couple of matches, everything great so far!
The only thing that I found was a team on rest of the world (jocoro fc) without any logo or kits.
Ps. I suggest the addition of Jamaica to the ROW dB, so they we can play a proper Copa America 2024 (it's the only team missing)

Did you replicate the same number type and colour as the original patch DB? Did you add any custom numbers for Vasco?

A custom schedule can be used, but this would only really be useful for tournament mode.

Career crashes in second season in career, before every match. Using UEFA NW in 2 Bundesliga with Hamburger. I had the crash at season one after a FA Cup match at January 12th in the same version. Haven't tested the others yet.

Hello, in my career mode (row mode, play in real madrid), I'm playing ucl and uel at the same time. But The teams classified to uel do not play it, only the league champions play both cups. Solutions?

Probably as long as you do not overwrite any particular files. You may need to merge some.

This is a common EA bug from editing in-game, delete the squad file and use CM16 instead.

I am not aware of any current issues with the Turkish language DB, but it was not tested.

I've installed version 8.0 and for certain teams ( Atlético Madrid, Borussia Dortmund ) the match doesn't start. I can select teams, press play, but then the match never starts, I never get the start button to appear.
