spacebar? but there dosn't seem to be any controls assigned to the spacebar in the manual...

anyways i once did a cut-in while running down the flank with beckham (ala ProEvo Soccer)....i think i did it with the 'thru ball' button combined with a quick change in direction....i dunno maybe it was pure luck

i do hope someone figures out the '360 spin' though....i think its a smashing move

I figured out the right analog stick stuff last night.. who would have thought they'd map the right analog stick? nice one EA!!

I also worked out how to score from crosses, so now i'm just one step away from knowing how to do everything i need to have a basic mastery of the game..

Anyone know how to defend corners? If i use the header button, my keeper runs out of his goal because it's also the keeper rush button. And the other buttons dont seem to do anything. The only clearing that i've ever done from in the box seems to be done automatically by my defenders!!

right analog stick...

Marc,

I am also using my PS2 controller through an adaptor. Could you please explain how to use the right analog stick, I'm getting nothing.

I've remapped the buttons to my liking (x=pass, o=shoot, etc), but start (or is it select?) still seems to be my "shimmy" button...

When I use the right stick (pushing in every possible direction) nothing happens...

Do you mean that I have to first push my shimmy button AND THEN use the right stick?

Please explain it to me as if I were a 6 year old...

Thanks,

Justin

Well on my pad, the right analog stick does the same as if i hold down start and push a direction on the left analog stick. It's just less fiddly.

It will depend on the driver you are using for your PS pad.

Directpad 5 for windows 98/ME is a good one because it lets you map everything to your own tastes, you just have to remember to select 6 Axis as the joypad type or the right stick won't work.

If you have NT/2000/XP you should use NTPAD XP 2.01 which is the best driver i've seen for a non 9x operating system. This is the driver i am using and the right stick works fine.

There are also others for 9x and NT operating systems, but none really work that well compared to the two above.

Which driver are you currently using?

You can get PS pad drivers here

Marc,

I'm using MP-866 USB Joypad drivers...

I downloaded the drivers that you suggested, but it seems that it will ONLY recognize through the serial port and not through the USB adaptor that I am using. Is this correct?

Frankly, I don't know why my current driver (above) is not allowing me to use the right stick in FIFA--it works fine in the new NBA Live demo...

The driver that I am using does not allow for full remapping, though...so any USB options you know of would be very helpful. I'm pretty knew at this, so I apologize or the likely ignorance of a lot of my questions.

Thanks,

Justin
