At last but better late than never SI have today released a patch which fixes some bugs that were noted during the past days.

An updated build of Football Manager 2006 v6.0.1 is now available, it primarily fixes the problems faced by our Portuguese users however it does address some other issues

For those of you who have the game already, we are making this patch available as an EXE only download (all you need to do is drop the exe over your current one)

For those who do not have the patch at all, the full patchers have been updated accordingly.

You can get this update now either by visiting here or hitting the Check for Updates button inside the game

Football Manager 2006 v6.0.1 Build 70473

+ Fixed problem with portugeause league and foreigner rule, counting any non-portugeuse players as being foreign, instead of non-EU.
+ Fixed random unregistering of players in leagues which restrict re-registering of players to certain times of the year (Portugal/Spain/Mexico etc)
+ Fixed potential injury news item crash (trying to display injury league table for a non-existent competition).
+ Fixed a crash at the end of the season in Belgium when running with top division only.
+ Added extra sanity checks for manager reputation, to help prevent quick escalation of reputation.

2 weeks ago he said it would definitely be released in November, so he's covering himself for a postponement already.

hmm i don`t know if you do know nygreen but he works for si, and the fm scout program is used for making the database, and at this point he isn`t sure if si let him release this version. and nygreen (michel) is also working on the fm version for the consoles so he has a busy schedule.

No worries, I'm fully aware of Michael's busy schedule. He should have followed Mind Compression's release schedule though.
