Youth Players Potential

What is the best way to make youth players fill thier potential?
Is it put them on intensive training and play them regulary or what?
Sub apperances maybe, I have a number of fantastic players and want them to become world class

play them on home games from the start if u want and dont do anything to their training keep the o the same as everyone else and they will be ok

i usually put them all on the loan list at the start of the season so they can get some experience in the lower leagues.

When i put them on loan list nobody puts in bids for them, my mate always put youth on full intensive traning!
He said it builds there characther and sorts the crap from the good!
Dunno i'll try some of your techniques, also keep more coming please if you hear any new ones

i suppose it depends on the quality of the players, i usually get offers for 5 or 6 of mine during a season, but only the ones who are quite skillfull.

I've never really messed about with training much, i suppose it can't hurt to put them on intensive, they will soon complain if they don't like doing it, but they might be more prone to injuries during training.

One thing you might like to do which could help you in the future, is to look for players who are right wingers but "either" footed and train them for the left wing. same with fullbacks. This will give you more options on where to play them in the future.

I actually had a mess about with that once, i trained Danny Cadimatri to become a sweeper on one of the old games so he was a sweeper/striker centre it was hilarious he was complaining non stop that training wasn't suiting him and he never knew what to do!
The youth i have, i always thought that they wern't interested in going to some lower division clubs thats why nobody bid for any.
I got ones at the moment called Frans Davids and Jaap Seedorf, regens even though the real players haven't retired, i play Seedorf occasinally to regualry, after i brought him 3 weeks of playing him in midfield he was scoreing something like 2 every 5 games and people like arsenal were putting bids of 5 million when hes worth 2.3m
Frans Davids doesn't really get played as much, thats why i try and loan him off.

well i decided to do it to some of my youths this time around once i noticed that i have no left sided youth players!! so i'm training a right winger to become a left winger. unfortunately i don't have any spare training slots to train a right back because i already started training a striker with good passing to be an AMC. Oh hang on.. i could just scrap the new position and just train for a new side right?

Yeah, I tried downloading a training schedule once it was laid out as Acadamy A & B, U27 and O27. It never seemed to make much difference!
The O27 training was like light on skills tactics just high on fitness
The U27 was med on skills tactics and fitness and the acadmeys were intensive switched around a bit

most of the time i just put all my gk's in gk training, my defenders in tactics training, my midfielders in skill training and my strikers in shooting training. That's what i've done for the start of my new season, but i may move players if i notice a particular weakness in a part of their game.

i see, i think some players get worse in training if you don't play them regulary, i just leave everyone in general apart from the keepers going into GK training.

sometimes my players get worse, sometimes they get better.. i don't seem to be able to do much about it, so i just stick them in a regime where i think skills they would use will be increased. I think players start degrading once they reach their potential rating so it's good to try and get them to build up to it slowly so they don't burn out.

that sounds like whats happening, Nicolas Anelka is a good example, he got to his potential at arsenal, he was a great player at arsenal very good overall, now hes degrading because his morale is poor from where hes continunly triying to better himself and getting nowhere because hes at his max potential

hmm do you mean on the game or in real life?

cos in real life i think his current career low has a lot to do with the fact he's a whining b*tch!!! It's not all his fault though, his brother screwed his career up long ago...

YELLOW CARD - Sarcasm
I mean in real life, but he was so much better at arsenal.
Very good, scored allot and created allot now he trying to score allot for himself and is worse a finishing then what he used to be

I just shove them on Intensive training and see how they develop. Generally unsuccessful but occasionally some break through into the first teams. :D

I've got some training schedules that I can send to you if you give me your e-mail address. They seem to work really well. Hardly any injuries in training and most of my young players fulfilling their potential.

I could also post some screenshots

How do you guys...

How do you guy's put the younger guys at intensive training and learning a new side?

I know how to do it in general, but then the rest of the team seem to hate it.

What's the other way to do it?
