Xbox 360 FIFA 2008 first impressions

well, on the 360 it feels way different then the pc version. The graphics are freaking amazing, and the players move more realistically then on the PC version. I did enjoy all of the camera angles on the pc version, seems like there are no angles except for the goals, beginning of the game, and the end of the game. Hopefully in the full version they will beef up the presentation. :)

So far I am also enjoying the demo for xbox 360. One question though. How can I switch the controller from the stick to the pad? which I am not that confortable with the stick.

I am wondering the same thing....

on PS2 version of FIFA 07, you can go to "settings" and change the controller configuration...can this be done on the X-box version of FIFA 08 ??

I am sure you can but how is the question.

I am also using the xbox360 controller on my laptop and I can set it up from digital to analog and it works.

you can't. I know for afact. I too used to only use D-pad and found it weird to use stick but now I would never ever go back. Give it time, it is far superior and accurate, trust me.

crap, why would they make the pad then? The stick is more accurate, you are right, I will give it a time I guess...

The pad was put on the 360 controller primarily for menus. In FIFA08 you use the d-pad to set tactics during the game. I know what you're saying because it took me time to adjust to the analog - but I also agree it allows for far superior control. For example, if you gently nudge the stick your player will trot - if you move the stick all the way over he will run. You can't get that degree of control from a D-pad.

As a matter of fact I play PES6 on my PS2 and I still use the d-pad as the playstation pad layout is a bit awkward yet when I play FIFA on X-Box I use the analog. The X-box / 360 layout seems easier and more comfortable to get the best from the analog sticks.

But then I guess it's down to personal choice in the end.
