Nice review Miki23, im also in ozz dude and waiting to get the retail version, havnt bothered with the demo so this will be the first taste i get of the game.

I have a question about your AI teammates, i read somewhere that they are not good basically, ie, they dont make runs into space, wingers seem lazy, is this true?
Also are Watford in the EPL, id say they are but you will know for sure, thanx Miki23 enjoy the game man.

Very good review, Miki23. Way better than IGN's. :D I'm still wondering if I should buy FIFA 07 or PES6 for Xbox 360. FIFA is leading the race a bit at the moment, but I haven't got so detailed information about PES6 yet, so you never know. On current gen I'd probably buy PES6, but on 360 they both are whole different games compared to their current gen "brothers". I need to make the decision within couple of days, because they both are released at the latest on Friday.

-There are national teams (37 of them)...

-There is editing mode (haven't played it with it yet) but know it's in there and from what I've seen in the options you can edit pretty much anything...

-There are 23 stadiums plus one unlockable

Here's the complete list of stadiums http://www.fifa07.ea.com/extra/?id=4313

Thanks a lot Miki, cya in the LIVE. My tag is neovico

Take care

I'll be renting them both on friday, can't make up my mind which one to plump for this season, was a FIFA man from megadrive days up until fifa 2004, then went over to pes for 3,4 and 5, and back to Fifa for WC 06 on the 360, it wasn't a bad game, but a fairly big let down online, after reading the major blunder that EA had with Tiger woods 07 online, i won't be to quick to part with another $120aud, for a game that isn't playable online

Great review Miki. Thanks for taking the time to write all of that. We are all extremely grateful. All in all it sounds like a good game. I also love the fact that you pointed out the cons as well as the pros. Can't wait till it comes out. Look me up on xbox live, my tag is: RMCF ULTRA. Send me a message or something. Peace!

Miki's a popular bloke! I only have one request for you miki....I heard that you can customize the pitch & stadium to some extent. They didn't get too much into it. Know anything about this? Please forward info at your convenience. Appreciate it very much. Take care.

Miki23: Could you give little more info about Manager Mode? Like is the money still in points like it was in some beta version (according to a preview), or is it in pounds, euros or dollars? Can you still start in smaller club and after you've got some reputation move to a bigger club? Or do you have to play with the same team through the career?

Miki, one last thing. It might seem superficial but...do they include the legit adboards of all the stadiums included? Wondering cause everytime I see footage, I only see the fifa2007 adboards. I hope this isn't the case! Thanks in advance.

I've orderd my copy! Can't wait now!! Seriously I'm playin the demo a lot and it stays fresh and exciting, and everyone so far who has the final copys says the demo doesn't do the full game justice. Cannot wait man.

Miki, I feel sorry for you - you know, with everyone bothering you all the time;)
But I was wondering, are the Referee and the linesmen present in the full game? They weren't in the demo, and I just find it really strange, or indeed unexplainable, that on next-gen, we won't have any officials on pitch, when PES has them even on current-gen... I know it sounds lame and all, not that it will disrupt the brilliant gameplay or keep me from playing the game. But really, am I the only guy who's bothered by this??

Thanks again Mate for an excellent review - You rock!

Damn, so many questions... :)))))) cool!
I'll keep it short:

-Greece is in the game for the guys that asked about it...

-Edit mode is superb, except there are not that many options for hair, facial hair, and colour of those etc... but you can edit pretty much anything from nose to ears, mouth, weight, height, boots, kits etc...

-customizing the stadim is limited to choosing the type of the turf and not too sure if there is anything else you can do with it.

-Referees are NOT in the game at all, except during cut scenes when you get yellow/red card etc...

-ad-boards are pretty much the same as in the demo, mainly fifa07.com ones...

-Manager Mode: The currency is POINTS, so no real currencies. It's same as in Fifa 06 last gen... Once you enter your name, you pick your sponsor with goals for that season etc... as in previous versions.

In the main menu you have sliders such as job security, team fatigue, chemistry etc... If you change your formation or put players in the wrong position you can see straight away how it affects your team chemistry + or - from the default. It is very well balanced as hypotetically you would love to have Nesta and Vidic as your CBs as they are both brilliant defenders, but they may not work together that well hence your chemistry will go down... same for attack...

There are news as before that come in with choices whether to let your players rest or do some charity work to build the team spirit at a cost of fatigue etc... so there are some decisions to be made which can alter your performance.

Best part of manager mode are experience points which you earn through your performance on the pitch. You can improve existing players or newly created player's stats by using these Exp points. For example, you can improve Adriano's defensive stats, and they are quite cheap, but to improve his attacking stats you better be ready to fork some Exp points... You can even buy "negative" stats, e.g. which will lower Adriano's defensive stats but give you HEAPS Exp points to be used on other players etc... Very cool feature as it requires some tradeoffs to be made...

The only downside of manager mode is that it is limited to only 5 seasons, and as I said before, by the time you develop your player it's pretty much end of the manager mode... It's just not very realistic that your 18 year old player finishes his career by the age of 23... But nevertheless this is the very best offline feature of the game, really enjoyable...

There's also a lot of stats after the game, you can see pass % and it's path over the pitch, chances, goals, fouls, concentration, player growth etc... There's Man of the match with stats such as goals scored, successfull passes/dribbles (yes even dribbling stat) etc... but it looks like Man of the match is not properly balanced... I scored a hat trick with Figo last night (brilliant match btw, was down 2-0 from FKs, and managed to win 3-2, played on semi-pro) and instead of him being man of the match it was someone else with 100% pass accuracy (3 out of 3) etc... Maybe I'm missing something, but I thought that hat trick any day would win hands down...

anyways, back to work now...

For the end, Online Mode is absolutely perfect!!! There is Zero lag... you forget that you are playing it online... it is THAT good.
I played some folks from Switzerland and South Africa last night and it was perfect...

Hang on a minute, whats this points thing, i read about real money this time in manager mode, have i got it wrong? im sure i read that real money was in use this time.

ENHANCED MANAGER MODE: Everything is real. Real money, youth player development, press and fan reaction. Immerse yourself completely in the world of a soccer manager. New this year – create your own club.

Woww, man, im going to buy my copy right now in a few hours, i cannot wait more. After test the demo during days (finally im confortable with left analogue stick, and NOW i enjoy), and now with all you explain Miki, is impossible to resist to this game.

There´s a feature that i think that nobody of us had comment (may be im in a mistake and is just commented), so, the ESPN soccernet feature, where you get information about football, a more big section than in current gen, stadistics, news, injury reports, etc..is online and always is updated. I think that with this feature you can organize your macthes as in real life...that´s cool.

To all the guys that had leave the tag here (me included), i will add to my 360 if you have not inconvenience, im sure that will enjoy a lot playing together.

Take care

Probably from current gen FIFA 07, because that has real money in Manager mode. In many places they advertise FIFA 07 for Xbox 360 with almost the same texts as they advertise the CG-version. They usually just add something like "next gen soccer simulation" in the end. ;)
