World cup plans

Just thought id make a little thread for those who are planning on going to Germany for the World Cup. Me and two friends will be there and we are making plans to buy tickets for certain matches in the next month or so.


We are planning to see 6 group games of our favourite teams. Definately a Brazil game and England vs Trinidad. Then we are planning to see the semi and maybe at a stretch the final. So we may go for the whole tournament depending on funds, we may just go for 2 weeks. Ive never been to a world cup so I cant wait!!!

We are going to start organising accomadation and stuff, we are trying to find a place where we will be based we were thinking Berlin, but we are student so we aint loaded so we need a cheap options, but we definately want to go to the Shalke stadium, bayerns and the stadium in Berlin

Yeah, I'm going, my mate is organising it, and after the draw he wants to go to like 11 games! Although we will end up going to 7 or 8. We are going towards the end of the group stages to the final, we have gcses so we cant go at the start :(

Where are all of you getting all those tickets? Its near impossible to get 1 ticket rather than a whole bunch. Ive been trying to get tickets for nearly a year now with no luck.

Heh...aint got the resources or the time. Gonna have to watch this on the telly. & with the time difference, most of the matches are gonna be at 3 a.m. :(

Yeah, it's just so damn hard to get any ******* tickets. There's just no way that you can buy up tickets for 7 or 8 games, it's simply impossible.

Im thinking I might be in Europe at the time, so perhaps I can take a few days to head to der Fatherland and see about scalping me a few. Then again, that would probably cost thousands of euro, so i'll probably satiate myself with sitting in a few pubs and soaking up the atmosphere of the gamedays

I think tomorrow is the last period of sales or second to last. The first period opened up on February 1st, 2005. People requested about 8 million tickets and they only had around 900,000. So it was very hard to get any. This time it will be even harder.

team specific tickets and others are long sold out already

I had no luck in the draw that was made but a friend of mine got tickets - which after the draw now has been made is Mexico-Portugal.

I'll go to the world cup since it's "next door" - 4 hours drive to munich and about 8 hours drive to most other areas.

I only need tickets now ... and that's gonna be bloody difficlut.
