Christ, I wouldn't say he was that good... at the moment

In the game his stats are over the top. Its kind of werid that SI were not smart enough to set Barca to not sell Messi considering that they wouldnt sell him in real life.

Messi just wouldn't sign for me at Man Utd... whatever the contract was he'd reject it.

I got him in my second season for 5 million with the patch, Barca werent using him. Into the start of my 3rd season now and i get a 60 million pound bid from chelsea which i rejected (H)

I'm really having trouble with work permits now. Just took Q.P.R. to the Premiership, and hoped to get some new players. Discussed contracts with players such as Babayaro, Pierre Wome, David Suazo and Hector Carini, but none of them could get work permits, even after I appealed.

Really annoying, so now I just filter out the players outside EU.

How can you appeal for european citizenship for a non-EU player?
Let's say Emerson in my case.

if you dont get the Work Permit first time at least you can reapply, i remember CM when you didnt have that option :(

To be fair England in real life is notorious for not giving Work Permits.

You can't. A player needs to be in the country for a set amount of time (see the FM05 FAQ for a list by me) to be given dual citizenship. He doesn't have to take it, btw, he can decline it (you wouldn't get a notice either way, btw).

Oh. Well Emerson has about 6 years in Serie A anyway, will check the thread.

Edit: 15 years :O. That's a lot. And what's with South Korea? You have to play 100 years in a country to get the citizenship? That's a bit strange :\. Or is that the setting for the country you play in or for the country of the player?

I'm pretty sure on FM Ruud the player always takes it, automatically once they reach the desired time.

Cant remember ever NOT seeing it when i expected it.

Oh wait, you were right, Emerson has spent 6 years and already has IT citizenship.
Other Nationalities: Italian. Thanks!

I remember on 03/04 seeing players not taking it. Haven't played 05 or 06 long enough to confirm.

It's how long the player needs to play in the country, Theo. 100 years IS the legal time in South Korea, btw, but it's quite clear they just don't give people Korean nationality if they aren't born there. Maybe if they are born of Korean parents.

you'll be right then Ruud, if you definitely saw it in CM03/04 SI will have kept it in for FM.

Ok, no more stupid questions as of now.
If I have one I'll keep digging on it until I find something. And if not, then I'll ask you :).
