Work Permit

I've got a question for you, lads. I signed a non-EU player with Newcastle, and he was not granted a work permit, but arrived nonetheless. So now he has "Wp" under his status and can't play for anything. So do I somehow apply for a permit again sometime in the future or does he get it automatically at some eventual time when he meets the eligibilities?

Best thing you can do is wait till next year. Tho I havent played with an EPL club for a while, i think it's always rechecked every summer. Loan him or something

Loan him to another club so he can play some games for them, then keep trying to offer him a contract until they let it go through by giving him a work permit.

Yeah I've sent them all on loan to my feeder club in Spain or to whoever else. I'll try the offering new contract strategy next season. Thanks guys.

That's what happens in real life, wasn't Alex loaned out by Chelsea last season because he didn't get a work permit?

This has pissed me off, CM4 style. My reserve centre mid has been refused a work permit. He's started 23 games and been subbed on 16 times. In real life, i'm not entirely sure Harry Kewell has started for Liverpool more than 23 times in his career, yet he seems to get his renewal just fine.

I totally agree. However I've never even managed to get a player on "Wp". I've been rejected on literally dozens of Serbian, Turkish, Australian, Chinese players in the time it's taken me to get to EPL From Conf.South. And not once has it been approved (unless the player had an EU second nationality). I find it VERY annoying.

I think for you to be able to buy a player without a Wp you need a feeder ckb whos description is to avoid work permit regulations.

Cheers, that would make sense. Funnily enough I'm very much an English leagues n00b... this was my first real game there.

Yeah he's right. Get a link that allows you to avoid work permits, then you can sign players without work permits. Then sometimes you get the problem of sending them onloan to your feeder club, and it says "xxxx can't sign players from outside the EU" despite the reason for the link being to avoid work permit regulations
