Im sorry to hear about that lag problem man .was all your connection with people lag .now you make me feel like I made the right dession in buying it for my xbox , I can truly say I have played over 20 games, and only encounter lag with one person and I told them there was lag over my headset. and he said he was on a router, and his brothers where doing stuff on their pc in another room, and he wasnt getting lag and I told him you cant cause you were hosting, and I was the client.so a lot of people dont understand that on the half time of every game the host will switch. so if you are hosting your game will be normal, and as the half time comes, the other person will be your host also be carefull of people that hate to lose, and love to cheat will cause you to get lag. in order to win. and keep up there stats. so my advice is to add people to your list. that you have good connection with. or join a good league and play people that are not cheesey players.

PS2 version doesn't lag. It's people that lag.
I just got off the game now. Played with about 7 games. Only one was lagy. The dude had a yellow connection.
The last two games especially, smooth as butter. The guy couldn't beat my weak teams wit Brazil.
I woke up a 7am and there was already like 30 people in the lobby.
Look for SG-jumbo and don't let my weak record deceive you.

played 2 games so far (lost both 0-1, 1-2

) but gameplay was very smooth, no complaintsSo let me get this straight...It's pretty much like winning eleven 8 on pc...where you have a client and a host (which was horrible online if you where client)...is this how all online games are played?...because when I play other games online on the PC, they seem to be smooth...very smooth...like Final Fantasy XI or Counter Strike, even unreal tournament...I used to play Quake 3 ON A DIAL UP CONNECTION FASTER!!!! ...I just can't see how Konami could have played this game online versus other people in the world and have said..."yeah! it plays great!! they'll looove this!" Will we ever have lag free online play or at least like the games mentioned above, where the delay (if there is any) doesn't affect the outcome? ... I mean yesterday I gave a pass to my goal keeper and the game chugged for 3 seconds while I was seeing casillas just look at the ball and let it pass to the net...I still won the game...but not after being very frustrated with something that was not my fault and can potentially lead to loosing a game...
The same story will happen....the people with the worst connections will be Top 10 in the world, because other people can play to their full potential against them when in client mode...in the end it's a very vicious circle that will not end...
OH!...and is it possible to play with 2 people online ?...I see the player options but I can't seem to change the second controller to play...it would be great to play with my brother online in the same team.

Yes it is possible to play 2 players online. It should be fun. I haven't experienced that yet tho...
But in my other post about the lag in PS2 version, I think I take that back cause today I played like 4-5 games and they were lag free. It was very smooth. Just to let you know guys

Maybe I get so much lag because of time zone(Distance)?...I'm probably forced to play versus west coast players...because noone plays soccer in florida?...
also...Does the player switching have to be done before the game?...because it's not working for me...
And you say your experience is lag FREE?!!!! I mean not even a little?...because if that's the case I'll call konami to see if they can trouble shoot it...
Some games are lag free. I mean I don't feel any delay or anything. And some of them, you can feel it but not too much. It doesn't bother you at all! But again I prefer ''green'' connections... Maybe that's why...
About the player switch:You can pause the game and change it even when you are playing online

oh i thought you already knew it. Yes green is lag free and red is the worst. When someone hosts you can see those arrows on the left of his name. Same with if someone wants to join you. Take a look at his connection quality to you when you see his profile then. And that's it...
well lets see here iv tried creating ****en 6 different names ranging from 8 - 20 letters each, change passwords each being 8-20 each, with numbers letters higher case lower case, still nothing, dont talk down to me like im a ****en idiot, when i click register it says unable to register how is that something to do with me, its ****d up

Try Sony Online Customer Support , it's probably your best bet. Honestly, coming here and being an asshole isn't gonna get you online any faster. Obviously nobody here knows what the problem is so find other sources for help...
