Winning Eleven 8 International - MLS Evolution 2005 Patch - Now Available!!!

I would have liked FC Porto to have been left in there too but I'm not in any position to moan, bitch & complain about it as I'm not patient enough to do a complete patch myself. What I'm trying to say is that GutBomb here is sharing his work with all of us. He could have taken out Man Utd or Real Madrid if he had wanted to. Use his patch if you want to or create your own if you dont like his.

yes djorkaeff is on the metrostars in this. I forgot to mention that I am updating the rosters weekly in a new option file

also this is only version 1.0. some of the uniforms are guesses (like dallas and chivas usa) because they have not revealed their 2005 kits yet. once the season starts we'll have a big update with all accurate kits.

again the roster updates will come every week, as long as there were some transfers during that week of course.

You're right. I'm sorry if i sounded like an ingrat.
Anyway, congratulations on the patch, is really nice to have also MSL in WE8i to get to know a little about american soccer, as its increasing every year.
I just read an interview where it was said that are like 30 milion kids playing soccer in the States. Thats alot!! eheh
Even though USA dont have tradition in soccer, i think 30 milion kids playing soccer and the interest for soccer getting bigger in the States can put North America in the map too :)

(1) Thanks for the patch.

(2) Corinthians (BRA) averaged 14,000 fans per match this year; alot of MLS team get that number of fans to their matches too. MLS is doing just fine, thanks.

(3) I think taking out any CL team is a mistake.

(4) Is FC Dallas in their new uni?

Yup soccer is really booming among American kids here. The problem is, when these kids become teens, they drop soccer like a bad habit & gravitate towards the more popular American sports like basketball, American football, baseball & even tennis. Hopefully these new crop of kids will follow thru with soccer.

Yep,many Euro's not all, are jealous of America and its success..why? b/c America was settled by the very people that Europe kicked out....Now Europe/Blair answer directly to us.
I don't mean to insult any of the good euro's here, but the US bashing is out of hand...and I'll be the first tro put you in place...Europe would not exist w/out America...why you ask? Go research the Marshall Plan ...

I wanted the teams to be contiguous. Besides, Porto winning the champions league was kind of a fluke. I mean look at their domestic and european performance this year.
Yeah!! Sure!!
Porto beat Chelsea this year, remember??!! And Porto is 1st place at their domestic league at the moment!!
A fluke?!!?! And what about UEFA Cup just before the Champions?!?!
U probably don't know what u'r talking about anyway....

Porto is in first place along with Benfica... calm down :P eheh
BTW, monday there's Porto - Benfica at Stadium do Dragão.
The winner of this game is gonna be the winner of the Portuguese Superliga this year... at least thats what i think.
But Sporting is just 2 points behind.

DC United are a better club than Norwich City, Crytal Palace, Soto etc...
Recognize....:rockman:

Brother, I live in the States, and granted, I've only seen 1 MLS game in person and about 5 on TV...but I can't agree at all. The match I saw was last year after the USA v Poland match in Chicago, and I must say, there is no MLS team that could beat any EPL team if they played a series, like a best out of 3. The English style alone would be too much to handle for an MLS club.

Not only that, but in terms of popularity, I don't think that the MLS has come very far. I love soccer, it's my favorite sport, but it makes me nauseous to watch an entire MLS match. The quality of players on any given team is poor, they play in American football stadiums with lines on the pitch, and no one goes to the games to begin with.

American clubs lose most of their star players to leagues in the world that actually matter. Just look at Beasley and Donovan, for instance. Where are Bocanegra, McBride, O'Brien, Convey, Freidel, and Howard playing? Not in the US. Alot of our young talent has gone over to Europe as well, look at Spector of ManUtd (currently on loan to Blackburn), Karbassiyoon at Arsenal (currently on loan to Ipswich), Simek at Arsenal, Hahneman at Reading, and DeMerit at Watford. For Convey, one of the top MLS players, to go from DC United to Reading, a middle of the table Championship team (old 1st division) in England says it all. If he thinks that an English Championship team is a step up from the MLS...there's not much more to argue. You can see how the players feel about the MLS. Don't listen to what they say, look at what they do.

I do think it's good to have a league in the US, because it helps our young players develop because they get to play every week. However, if they go to Europe, they'll be even better prepared when playing for the national team because they face quality opponents every week. In the MLS, they face mediocre teams each week, which can be more like a training session, and doesn't prepare you for events such as the World Cup.

Alright, well, that's enough of that...you get my point.

ricflair you talk bull****, i agree he should not have made the comment about americans, he was bang out of order.
But for you to say we (british) answer to the americans is again bang out of order. the situation in iraq was down to the idiot running america now. We all know the iraq incident had nothing to do with saddam hussein. He was not a threat at all , it was all about oil and you know it. and for sure the british have nothing to be jealous of the americans for.
And finally i think " liv2play we " should either get a warning or be banned for his childish comments.

I am sorry if i upset any americans by what i have said , that was not my intention

Tony Blair's Dossier, compiled by Carlos Straw(a major Carlos*ass) had more incriminating evidence against Iraq and WMD's than America had.... the Brits fully supported the US 100%, you're no different. Whether Saddam had WMD's or not...he was a piece of trash...good riddance....let democracy reign.
Lets not get sucked into a political conversation and ruin the thread b/c liv2play is an utter douchebag.

cut the politics. this is a thread about a MLS patch, not the United States foriegn relation policies, not a discussion of the finer points of the portuguese superliga, but a thread for questions, comments, and criticisms of the MLS Evolution 2005 patch.

Well said! I think the patch is cool, other than a few (very minor) kit errors. Great job!

Sorry, i don't know a thing about north american soccer.
Downloaded the patch and seems good to me...

But, for future versions, why not put Canadian and Mexican teams/leagues inside to make something better? And also Canadian National Team...
