winning balls in the air

anyone else having problems winning balls out of the air? seems like every time there is a 50-50 ball between me and a computer player, the computer player is always able to fight me off and win the ball out of the air. has anyone found any tricks or anything that help out in this area?

Well I had that problem when I first started to play this game but now I can win most of the air balls if I press the shoot button when the ball is been kicked to the air, don't waite to the last minute, just press you button(s) just after the ball goes to air than you will win 100% of them.

i've been doin that and i can't even get my man to make an effort for head balls in the box. On defense i can win head balls, but on offense i can't even get my guy to make an attempt at a head ball. I can't even get my players to do one timers out of the air. How is it done?!?!!

......me too,,,,,,seems like every single Computer players ,, beat us in their penalty area,,,chances for us to scored off the header is 1 to 100 ,,, dreadful:mad:

Obviously you must do a header if you are being challenged in the air. Hold down A, S or D depending on whether you want to lob, pass or shoot with your head. Hold down the button as soon as possible. FOr example if you have a corner, hold down D the instant after your player kicks the ball. Keep holding down D and aim with the arrows. After the player heads the ball release D. (same for A and S)

In the penalty areas of the opponent it is harder to make headers, I follow the same way in the penalty are and I can head once probably every 10 tries, but lately I have improoved it specially heading from a corner kick, gets easier. But making a run through the wing and crossing is tough to head that cross because it is hard to aim the cross to our forwards I guess. I always cross deep and I always have a forward deep in that area and he always heads the ball. What I mean by deep is that the other side of the net. I always see one of my players making a run in that area of the field. But I havn't got the one timers with headers yet, I did tryed it alot but no luck, I don't think if thats possible with a Fifa game yet, not surprised at all, its a fifa game.

Its not work. The player just do a volley kick and because i press the button too long then his volley kick go over the bar.

i find the header controls screwed up.
sometimes when i tap the button, the player will attempt to head the ball, sometimes the player will chest and volley the ball.
when i press and hold the buttom, again the player will either head or attempt a chest and volley... wtf man, this is ****

same thing here, for the life of me i can't figure it out, and its getting frustrating cause i have a ton of opportunities to head the ball in the box, but my guy will chest it and either smash it over the bar or a defender will come knock me off the ball. I can't even figure out how to one time it out of the air, like a scissor or bicycle kick.........frustrating!

1. TAKING A GOOD POSITION
2. SETTING POWER BAR WITH A/S/D
3. RELEASING A/S/D
4. SETTING DIRECTION
It usually works but remember, it's obvious computer is in better position as he's defending and u r attacking
I don't know however how to choose between volley, bicycle kick etc, it looks like it's automatic (depending on where the ball falls).

There's only one thng that makes me #$~~% in this game! Why the computer almost never makes a foul??!

That´s the same for me, it´s one things that i like most but not too much in ISS Pro Evolution 2 there are more fouls, and i just love those free kicks in fifa world cup 2002.

Already had 2 goals from 3 freekicks.

But i want more fouls..........:f***:
