Windowed Mode

Wheneve I unchecked the Fullscreen mode, it says this. I used a LCD screen. I'm able to play in windowed mode on CS, But never on CM. Including CM03/04. I want to play in windowed mode on FM.

I will say check your resolution and colour settings.

It should be at least 1024 x 768 and 32 bit colour

Yeah it has to be 1024x768 as your Windows resolution as said above. Personally I think it's a shame, because my 17" screen does 1024x768 but it looks far too small and does my eyes in! I wish there was a way to run windowed mode with Windows running at 800x600...

Make a shortcut to the fm2005.exe and right click it and select properties. Now add to the end of the target line -small_screen -windowed.
So it should say exactly this in target:
"C:\Program Files\SEGA\Football Manager 2005\fm2005.exe" -small_screen -windowed
And then use that shortcut to start the game.

Yep, that's what I'd try also. It should work even.

Previous versions of CM and FM don't work in windowed mode if it's 1024x768 or less. But they will if you force them with that override.

the game comers up in a window, so you can still see the taskbar and anything else around the window, or on top of it.... so while the games processing you can chat on msn or soomething

Alright thanks guys. It worked. But when another guy asked.....don't tell them they should see "C:\Program Files\SEGA\Football Manager 2005\fm2005.exe" -small_screen -windowed cause different people may have installed it in a different place. (Like me, so it isn't blank)
Just need to add the -small_screen part.
Sorry for not checking the other thread.
