I've been thinking about this for a bit and I"m wondering why so many editors preview their work so much. For instance, i see many great faces being created but when I want to download "what you see is what you get" its always a preview. I don't know how any of you feel about this, but I thought i'd just pose the question. I honestly in my opinion find it quite annoying to not be able to download certain things immediately.
What is the point of the preview; if it looks done,it must be done why not just upload it somewhere and give us a link? I mean where do the benefits come from for you guys as editors in using the preview, I myself am a gameplay editor, but I make sure to post specs and everything as soon as I release something. I just feel that we've let some of our great work get to our head and mistake the editing concept as a commercial approach-I mean if someone is paying you to edit then thats fine, but honestly I think it is all pride right now; I may be mistaken.
And i also understand if the reasoning is to touch things up or other certain rituals done; but all I ask if you're going to post something please post the link so we can just download it and be on our way. And if its comments and feedback you'd like then ask for them and knowing the great community we have you'll most likely receive one or two.
I'm not pointing fingers now, its just a general pondering I've had in the editing area and wanted to share my thoughts, please dont' respond childish and be as constructive and mature as you can if you do choose to respond.
