2)the opponents try to score always with long pass from the corner side and then with header

wrong.. i've seen the CPU doing a small pass to the other attacker that's near him sometimes, just like in real life

Nah, Fifa needs a first person shooter patch where you get to shoot with rocket launchers at peeps running around in PES jerseys with targets painted on their butts ROFLMAO!

I don´t think you will be very happy with editing Fifa, there are too many errors in the gameplay and a lot of bugs(Goalbug etc.) What do you want to edit ? There rosters are fully lizenz, original adboards, chants are very simple to import. the only think is that is very simple to install new files. konami are change the files from year to year but be sure people are working on tools to patch it again.
i also don´t have enought time to made big patches and some stupid user piss me off, because they don´t learn to read all the tutorials how to import patches,files etc.
but the gameplay from pes4/5 are 100 lightyears away from fifa and thats the point to make the game better as the stupid fifa gameplay
But it´s your choise, take care

I know a lot of people don't like the whole comparison thing and this isn't meant to be a "versus" thread. Many people on here know me as making the patches for the PC versions of the Konami games for the past 3 years and I figured they might be interested as to why the series has pissed me, and a lot of others, off this year....I'm bypassing PES5/WE9:I this year to play FIFA 2006 (especially on the X-Box 360 when it's out). I'm not alone in the complaints list for WE9, you can find a thread with over 600 posts complaining about the game on Evo-Web and confirmations of the other drawbacks all over PESFan or the Soccer Gaming PES/WE section.

Wow; incredible move. This alone will make me pay attention to FIFA this year, at least. Given the $$$ I've given to it over the years, however (through FIFA 2004; I skipped FIFA 2005 b/c of the LACK of authentic progress in the gameplay area), it will have to show substantive progress for me to buy it, let alone advocate for it over PES3, leaving PES 4 or 5 out of it for now.

Hey FIFA 06 is great but one thing troubles me: the Free Kicks, I heard that EA copied this system from PES? If they did, it was stupid of them to bother, that system is impossible and illogical to use

Yep, Free kicks are terrible this year, I miss the Fifa2005 system.

2005 system sucked bad! this years one is the best fifa so far then it goes 2003, the free kicks are hard but its better that way because its more of a challenge and it makes a free kick look really good when you score, the previous fifa's were to easy for free kicks, same goes with PES

This year's free kick system is the best ever, it is better than pes series too. I love the ability to change the player's position before the ball. Therefore you can curl the ball the way you like. I hope they will not go back to previous versions as they were very easy and not at all realistic.

About smoothness use render_every_ai_frame = 1 command line on cfg_h.ini and you'll notice a great difference...
