Why I changed to FIFA 06 this year from WE9/PES5

With all due respect to Wolf, this announcment seems a bit too melodramatic. This year's Fifa has certainly improved above the previous installment more than it ever did for last 6 years, but as Nuno said, it's not THAT awesome really. Player movement still feels too stiff and automatic, the pace and flow of a game is still too fast and hectic, no player individualities whatsoever(you can dribble and pass around with Puyol as well as you do it with Ronaldinho), still the old simplyfied team management (remember Fifa98 *sigh*).

I'm playing this demo for a couple of days and already sensing tediousness sliping in. Dunno, maybe the full version will give some options that'll improve general gameplay (they could implement the same slider options as in NHL games to tweak gameplay).
As for annoyances Wolf listed, most of these seems like really typical minor matters that's commonly bugging us every year with Konami games, nothing new. We still keep playing because of the superior overall gaming experience.

Licences really couldn't be an issue to reconvert back to Fifa, seriously.

By the way. NHL06 is absolutely magnificent game according to demo. Now that's a really huge leap towards realism EA has done. I am totally blown away, both of the surprise for EA Sports and great hockey gaming experince. Certainly the best ice hockey sim yet.

Dribble is fantastic, sometimes just with diagonal buttons you pass the ball to a foot to another... and button combinations make dribbles simply awesome and life like.

they copied that from pes and you peform that with pressing up than forward quickly, when facing the goal to the right.

but i agree with mighty tic. If the ball fysics suck, i will never be attracted to fifa. It makes the game emotionless, fake, arcade.
I dont say pes has ultra realistic ball fysics, but it comes much much more closer to reality than fifa.

PES doesn't have that registered, EA can make the combinations the same and if they are the same is better cause people play both games... you guys talk about PES like it was real football...

I play both games, you not, so if there's a fan game here is you and people like you always try to bash the game, the game is not perfect, have errors like PES have but you always talk about errors, since the demo came out you are just interested in the bash, The Wolf made a great review talking about pros and cons.

I Played the demo and i found many several bugs. if there was not these bugs the game would be great.

1) The the defenders are very fast,every time i am going alone to score the defenders that are back from me always are reaching me. (even i have giggs)

2)the opponents try to score always with long pass from the corner side and then with header

3)when the player run can't turn right or left a lot

4)the gameplay has gone very quick

5)its so difficult to tribble (even have ronaldinio)

6)many many posts in shots

- Almost impossible to dribble once you go to 4 stars or above with any player other than a consideration for FIFA World Player of the Year!

In fifa demo I feel it's too impossible to dribble too. Either you must use stepowers riddiculously frequent or just twich the analog stick and hope that some random ''superskill'' will luckily get you past efender. Why can't we use most common moves like knocking the ball to a side and forward.
Yes, and caching up everybody is talking about is annoying too. I never outrun anyone with players that presumably are very fast (Bronkhorst, Ronaldinho). Every defender catches them without sweting and shoulders them away from ball EVERYTIME.

Many of these complains have to do with difficult of the game, do you play in semi-pro? Cause it's default semi-pro on demo, i play in World Class and CPU is very smart, crosses and long range shots, also shots from inside the box...

the more i talk too u, the more i think you are actually stupid. The only thing you do is plain lying. You dont research things before saying it and just say things about people that are not true. Im not even gonna defend myself again, because you are so stupid you wont understand and just come up with something thats isnt true. for example this is one of my posts.

i dont understand people saying fifa is more arcadey than pes. I think both games are arcade. In pes the passing is too arcade, the pace is arcade, the 90degree turns are arcade.
All those things are in fifa less arcade compared to pes. Fifa only needs the ball fysics and fluid player animations of pes and i think when they have that it will definately beat pes.

Im really getting bored of pes, maybe i pld it too long, but the game is soo scripted and predictable now.

I dont care about these 2 f88King games. I just play what i like. for all i care they stop making them, my world wont stop, but im sure yours does!!

fifa comes in september. WE comes in march, plenty of time to play and enjoy both.
