why can't we tackle the keepers

Hey why can't we tackle the goal keeper, it seems so unrealistic, even when the keeper has not gathered the ball you cannot slide tackle. I remember in fifa 2003 you could get a red card for tackling the keeper, why did they remove this? it used to be fun back then.

this has been asked before........but i dont know the reason why

i would like to have it back as well but u just have to accept the fgact that EA makes to many mistakes

Who knows there are a few things that have changed over the years some for the better (like graphics and game simulation) other like players, rules and stabillity have all appeared to have gone backwards

well i think the graphics for this years fifa and last years fifa is like the same

but not for 2003

Maybe not enough people complaint. Oh that's right it wouldn't make a difference if a million people complaint... they do what they want anyway.

Why they took this option out is a real mistery to me.

I think it has to do with all this "fair play" crap. As much as they preach it they don't enforce it, so why fifa. I remeber when you could dive in this game........

I hate the fact that when you bring the ball down in the box off a corner u can't challenge the keeper either.

bring back everything from fifa 2002 add a few extras and make good graphics add a league or two get accurate international rosters and voila the best fifa ever

Maybe they will make a patch. But just like MS software companies rush and then try to scamble to cover the major flaws unil the next release, it is just the way it is.

Yeah how come we can't take short corners anymore either? all this take away some of the realism from the gameplay, really sucks!!!

if you tackle the keeper then that would cause an annoying bug and all players will do this while the game

u can't tackle the keeper,but u can tackle the ball in the same second he drops it ,when he shoots out!
did not now that until i got bored an a just tapped the tackle button,the player tackled the ball,got so surprised i did not score tough!
tryed to do it once more but could noy do it!

How could you want realism in the same sentence where you complain that you can't tackle the goalkeeper? How often do you really see this happen in a match?

lol, ya thats true

but IMO opinion we should be allowed to do anything we want in fifa, but we r "too controlled" by the cp.

like for example, i wish we could be able to press a button to push someone, or press a button to argue with the ref, etc.

Yeah what about a hand ball penalty, when the cross is played into the box? I see this happen alot in real life, never see it in fifa?

we need to post a sticky thread with all the suggestions how to improve fifa. like what should be removed and added from past fifa's. I want the short pass corner's back and they do that in real life so dunno why that got removed...

anyway if we did this thread maybe will get noticed by EA and they might consider our suggestions
