why cant i score???

Im in season 5 with kilmarnock and have just finished 2nd and now at the start of the new season im keeping clean sheets but cant score. if the other team score then i always seem to lose.

my strikers are: collins mbsuma(top scorer last season) 16 goals
Ross mccormak
greg halford
igor zupineck

any ideas how i can change this???

Well, I suggest getting better strikers, or changing your formation. Or both

Probably morale, has a devasting effect in this game. Why do you up the tempo to try create more chances, hoping that your strikers might knick themselves a goal, get them a bit of confidence back.

Halfords plays Defense or as a Striker, both successfully... apparently.

change of instructions also does good. but i gotta agree with nick, upping the tempo will give you good chances.

Well I wont claim to be an expert or anything but at one stage I was struggling to score with arsenal!!!

Anyways i turned it all around by changing my formation completely...for me I found that having one striker 4 across the midfield and a DM with a high tempo created more than enough chances and well now I am leading the EPL by one point

You forget 1 slight problem:
You need a beast if you play with one striker & preferably he has to be a great target man that holds up the ball with good creative midfielders that move in attacking positions.

With Arsenal a beast like Henry & such great midfielders will do (even though henry is not a target man, his pace & skills make more than up for that), but the guy has Kilmarnock & I doubt that a 4141 system works for him.....

eg: Roma & Haarlem play the same system in real life (4231), but the results are black & white:
4231 works brilliant for Roma (in real life & in the game), but my hometown team Haarlem suck at this same system (also both in real life & in game).

A) deep & narrow & quick

push up & wide & normal

-set your most creative man a free role, increase his creative freedom to high. check if some of your midfielders long shot abilities, if they are weak but still makes long shots, this might be one of the reasons why you cant score.
-make sure you know what attributes your players are good at, and give them instructions accordingly.
-check if your DR and DL are fast and good at cross balls, if they are, i advise you to use them also. with tottenham, i use baines as DL and eduardo ratinho as DR and they help out the teams creativity a lot.

good dm to protect your back line.

a playmaker in centre midfield to spray the balls around.

2 wingers to cross the ball.

2 strikers just to produce the goods.
