Coleman can stay well away. We'd be sitting here a year later discussing the next manager.

The job is a poisoned chalice. The only person i can see getting anywhere is big Sam purely for the fact that he wont stand for any bull**** from Shepherd.

What the club really needs is a takeover.

Yeh take over chelsea style. Seems to have worked wonders for them over the last three years. But then again Sheperd has given money many times for players. Its more about the manager.

Ah, but you don't know the full story. Shepherd doesn't give the manager money. No, the manager has little input in signings other than sharing recomendations. Shepherd controls all transfers in and out and in some cases without even consulting the manager.

Its going to be hard to get Newcastle to sixth place. But he did it with Bolton. I can see Bolton going into decline without him there. I think he can get Newcastle to top 7 at least. Hes knows what players to bring in and has a high standard of coaching.

Look at the technology they were using at Bolton. I'm sure people will be suprised those who have worked at the bigger clubs. But thats the way he does things to high level.

I'd be happy with top 8 next season (unless we bring in something like 5 world class players this summer :D). Anything above would a very good improvement.

Honestly, who gives a fu(k about whos the next Newcastle manager.
Whoever it is will ultimately pay the price Big Fred should've paid a long time ago, and as for Sam Allardyce, it would interesting to see how he and Shephard get one if he does move - he'll be gone in a year or so.

Ultimately the club is caught in a perpetual motion and until someone comes in and takes control from Shephard it doesn't really matter who the new manager is because they'll have little or no say how the squad is assembled.

wat u talkin bout, Allardyce is no *itch, hes not gonna take that crap from shepard cuz shepard knows its his ass thats on the line as well , SAM WILL have the same power like he did at Bolton cuz hes the type of character that wont be neones *itch

Yes exactly, he hasnt been used to taking orders and being essentialy told who to buy, thats why i dont think the partnership will last anything more than a season or so.

but i think thats what their discussing in the interviewing, if Shepard makes decisions then Shepard Newcastle can forget about hiring ne top quality manager

I think theres a chance it could work out but I'm not sure how well those 2 BIG personalities will get along and co-exist productively together. I love Big Sam though so Im optimistic it'll work out.
