'tis really ticking me off, how most of the newbies in the forums think. Have you noticed that the only ones actually complaining about recent issues (Coaches, Cups Income) are actually newbies? :f***: :f***:

In the cup income thread they say the game will go down because they wont participate. I say kick them off the game for thinking like that. Sadly, neither me or Paul have been able to convince them of the truth because they just think they are right and we are just showing off because we have more expirience (Coaches thread).

It's tragic how the forums changed and, although I only discuss in the english forums when some serious topics arrive (the ones I mentioned), I still get amazed how stupid people can be if they think they know something :/

Sorry for whining in here, but I couldn't possibly have posted this in the MZ Forums.

BTW. Paul, thanks for putting me on your top4 Assistants list, I appreciate it.

Yeah no problem man. By the way boston/MFC/Steve you were joint fifth but I thought I'd tell you here incase other English assistants got mad. :p

As for the coach arguement, the guy did list some "valid" points, and by valid I mean that it justs scrapes a point. But he was way off at times and started throwing around insults, starting conspiracies and accusing some people, e.g. you blue, of stuff that he couldn't justify.

My overall conclusion: **** happens - Get over it ;)

As if I'm going to comment in this thread (H)

Problem for me is a lot of newcomers either obviously lack the game knowledge to see why their ideas, views are flawed, or more importantly, tend to view the game in terms of what their team can get out of it, and short-termism will damage the game long term.

Aside from that, there's the usual issues of users hurling abuse - had to forum ban a manager for a week last night for repeated offences after being politely asked not to.

Other than that, it's just a case of people not seeing why threads are often inappropriate - case in point being a certain current issue I'm not going to divluge here ;) End of the day, whilst an investigation is ongoing, postings names or details involved is incredibly harmful - should manager be found not to have cheated ( and people are forgetting the propensity of Crew's code to screw up ... ), then the guy has been publicly "named and shamed" already. If innocent, the threads are also thus spreading fear and doubt amongst users unecessarily.

Basically, he's got a few good points but his facts stink.

He claims this is a new simulator, he claims the world cup has been played on three different simulators, he claims MZ develops 3dlive...oh well...but finally one that doesn't act like a real newbie saying: "Omg I'm losing change it back!!!!11111"

I think the managerzone crew is completely mistaking the site´s priorities. They´re investing lots of efforts and money on 3D when at this point the game can´t work with a minimum stability and quality.

Everything in managerzone is about choosing the right players and tactics, and we´ve got 14 weeks seasons. Selecting the wrong tactics/players for a particular season means you don´t get the title, get stuck in the same division or even get relegated. So how in the world can you make a proper planning if all the variables change every 6 weeks? Players are expensive and hard to train. You can´t ask a user to change his planning mid-season. That´s not challenge, but extremely poor planification and managing from the site´s heads.

My point is, this site isn´t being managed as a company-offered service - it often looks as if it was directed by a bunch of buddies who make "cool" suggestions along the way. "Hey, let´s try this new, untested sim", "Yo, what about if we go 3-D". They only get truly professional when charging money. I know many people don´t pay, but from the moment I do, I´m a customer, and I don´t feel treated as one.

I´m sure this failures doesn´t come from malice - the site´s concept is gorgeous and there sure are some people working hard, but views must be changed. Being big and serious´s not only about expanding and adding flashy features. Organize. Be pros. There are new countries joining every month, and that´s great, but what about trying to handle the ones that are on board already? You launch a (sorry to be harsh) disastrous sim, and must change it mid-season. Instead of dedicating money and resources to introduce 3-D (which in time will be great, I don´t doubt), hire testers! The sim is the core of the game, concentrate on that!

You launch a world cup and we´re supposed to be all excited about that. Ok, this world cup has been played over THREE simulators! In less than two months! This does not only devaluate the cup, but also raises suspicions, fair or unfair. Frankly I can´t imagine someone like say, Microsoft, doing something like that.

Well, that was enough ranting. I´ll finish with a few specific suggestions:

- The sims/important player attributes must be unmovable at least for a whole season, no matter what the forums say. If a simulator is crappy, then we´ll have to plan measuring that crap.

- Before expanding, try to handle what you got in your hands, and distinguish priorities. Server stabilty is crucial. A good, tested simulator is crucial. 3-D, at this point, is not.

- Think pro, be pro. People are paying hard-earned money. If you need to hire people, do. A 300.000+ users site can´t be handled any other way. Maybe Mangerzone expansion won´t stop no matter what, but remember that there are alternatives, and usually only the best remain.

To be fair Blue back in the "good old days" nobody was paying so had no right to complain. Now we are paying customers, and customers have a right to complain.

Variables change he claims...variables always change...plus if he actually had a semi-decent side he would look for decent skills. The skill requirements between this sim and the last sim aren't that great in terms of players skills, plus there is a better tactical edge which favours managers who kno how to manage.

I agree with the post - how can you manage when the variables keep changing?

What if your crunch game against the 1 other top side in your division occurs 2 days after they change the sim? It's a lottery not skill.

MZ is great, but it is kinda stupid sometimes.
