This is what ISS vs FIFA is about for me.

Was the Man U vs Bayern game, or Liverpool vs Barca game the most enjoyable game for you?

Firstly Ill admit Im a Man U fan, but i felt the Man U/Bayern game was definitely more involved as a game. It was all about tactics, midfield battles, probing at each others weakness, blocking out strengths, yes it was 1-1 and not much of a spectacle, but it was great to see how the battles were won and lost in the differenet areas. Two good teams trying to outwit each other, this is how I feel ISS plays. (Not too mention not playing a star player coz hes not at his fittest, and asking another player to do a very different job (Giggs/Fortune))

The Liverpool/Barca game was great end to end, fast paced fun more like a FIFA game.

I think if you can appreciate the Man U / Bayern game as a tactical battle then you can appreciate why ISS is so deep.

I prefer Liverpool vs Barça.
That was all about positional play. Just the way Liverpool was outplayed was exceptional good positional play.
That's exectly the way you have to play when you want to be succesfull in PES or ISS.
I am sure the_man will agree with me :)

Hmm yes and no.. maybe :)

I think maybe its more to with the style of the teams, Man U and Barca had a similair gameplan last night however Barca were more fortunate to be playing Liverpool who are more attacking than Bayern (not saying much I know).

Both Man U and Barca were trying to cancel out threats posed by their opposition, and both teams were trying to open holes in the opposition. Liverpool came out after they conceded the goal and got punished by very clever tactical play from Barca.

Man U were trying to break down a very defensive team, and probed and pressed till they found a gap. Unfortunately Bayern never tried to chase the game (credit to them for that), and benefitted from some bad Man U play. They were punished for a mistake like in ISS.

I guess both games were similair to ISS, maybe what I meant was that if you could appreciate the Man U game you could probably appreciate why ISS is compelling, Ive had this kind of scenario a few times....

I agree with you analyses about Bayern-Man Utd, but sorry, I see the Liverpool-Barça game different, especially the second half.
You said Liverpool was more attacking, but when it was 1-1 in the 2nd half, Barça played the ball around with liverpool almost watching on distance; they did only few forechecking anymore.
In fact, they didn't know what course to go.
Just my opinion.... :)

Cruijff, at the Dutch TV, pointed out that the defender in front of Rochenbach, was wrong positioned; he should have stand more to the outside, in which case Rochenbach only could have fired at the keeper! Just a famous Cruijff-detail on a great goal indeed !

buah the purpose of a play is to destabilize the defense and to find the leak, they found it :p
