what kind of firewall are you using? Does spybot search & destroy detects spyware or do they just detect the spyware when you run the scan?

i use zone alarm pro and i used to block all that stuff including animated gifs etc. but now i turned that feature off because it also blocks un-harmful stuff like smilies on forums.. which is rather gay because it makes the internet dull and boring.
