What is Beasley doing?!?!?!?!

PSV said they'd have him back, but Beasley said he wanted to play in the premiership instead. This would be a smart move. But he decided to sign with Rangers instead. I don't get it-he's good enough to play in the premiership, and his game will improve if he stays there longer. The SPL is a very long way from the premiership in regards to the level of play, obviously. If he doesn't think he can hack it in the premiership, why go to Rangers? He could have at least cut his losses and tried for the Bundesliga or the French Ligue or at least PSV in Holland where he was wanted. Rangers is definitely a step down from PSV and the SPL is a step down from even the Dutch league. What was he thinking?!

Money. He'll get a key role on a Champions League team. He'll win some Championships. Reyna became "Captain America" there.

PSV didn't want him back, they were going to loan him out again. He's going to have to toughen up a lot to succeed in Scotland.

He doesnt have the ability required at PSV. He's not quite topclub material.

Yeah he's not quite skillful enough on the ball. His speed is dangerous, but that alone doesn't make him a great player.

He needs a freakin sandwhich or some meat loaf or something. But he does draw penalties and free kicks in the attacking third. All good things.

But with that speed, he could potentially be awesome.

Potentially, yes. But if he wants to forfill that potential, he'll have to spend more time at the gym.

This isn't a spam thread. It doesn't involve the US men's national team, it's just about Beasley's professional play, and since it involves two teams it deserves a separate thread.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he start all of the time at PSV? Plus now that he's played in the premiership maybe his game has gotten good enough to be one of their top players.

Am I the only one frustrated by this? The top American players can't even play in the premiership. England has hundreds of players who can. And Beasley was supposed to be a great player. Remember the rising star he was in 2002?
