WE8I "The Game Is Not Properly Installed"

K so i decided to update my ATI drivers and i so i decided to use ATI's "Software Uninstall Utility". What it did though was to uninstall my WE8I. Grrr...

Anyhow i managed to get all the direcotry from a friend...but i try to run the game and i get this error:

"THE GAME IS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED"

What the hell's wrong. I dont understand. There is nothing missing. If anyone could help it would be great.

PS: Pls do it fast cause i cant take any much longer without WE8I :P. Thanks a lot in advance

That's because you haven't installed the game - duuuh...

You have only copied the folder with the game-files, but all of the registrations-files and install-files they haven't been installed. It's not every file you install that's located in you game-folder ;)

It sounds like you have a pirated version of the game, so I won't tell you o simply put the cd in and install the game :D

I had EXACTLY the same problem. Apparently there's a mix-up with the ATI drivers and WE8I within the control panel/software list, because I also wanted to uninstall my ATI Catalyst drivers and ended up with uninstalling WE8I :crazyboy:

And I had a back-up so I thought I was safe by just placing it back to c:\program files\konami\winning eleven 8i... but then you get indeed the message that the game isn't installed properly, I guess because it's missing the registry entries like manutd1 said.

So I had to do a fresh new install of WE8I first, then I could move back my back-up and finally continue again with playing (H)

You see lonewolfevoVII? So all you have to do is re'install your game - which is very simpel if you own the dvd which you bought ;) So if you can't see why I suspect you to not own a copy which you have bought yourself, you must be blind...

Dude who said that i dont have a pirated copy??? I downloaded the game. I never or will never pay money to play a game. Its just my point of view. So dont go lecturing to what you think. If you want to buy games then buy them. :crazyboy:

Anyhow i found a way out of this ... which didnt require any installation RedDevil .... and that was done by some simple registry lines.

So where do we round up....

1) p2p forever
2) if you a try a bit harder you'll get it!
