after playing with the formation a bit I finally found the solution to snuff and suffocate brazil
inspired by Fergie's 4-2-3-1, here's what I did

Choose forward press for quick setting
for the team strategy do A-A-B-B or A-A-B-A
that means more emphasis on backline, zone press and counter attack
This is a counter attack, possession-style strategy
you'll get a lot more of the ball and with the speed of Vassell and Dyer you'll get a lot of speed to exploit space. Utilize Becks and Gerrard's long range passing and amazing work rate. With this strategy you'll find yourself triple teaming the brazilians and getting the ball at midfield.
Keep your cool and you'll get a good chance.
