Like I said, they can be as proud as they want about Mussolini's team. From what I've read there were some shady things going on (with Italians, the team with a major match fixing scandal every decade? NOT POSSIBLE!). As far as the Euro goes, 3 > 1. Any other measure and Germany is faaaar superior.

I really don't think it's a stretch to say that the German National Team has been better than Italy, particularly since we entered the modern era right around when Pele emerged and teams stopped using ridiculous 2-3-5 formations.

And I'm being dismissive of your win in 1934 where Mussolini picked the refs for every Azzurri match; I have a feeling Reichsdeutscher is fond of Mussolini.

Germany a far superior footballing nation than Italy? For that statement to be true Germany needs to defeat Italy in an official match, something that has yet to occur.

And you can dismiss the 1934 victory all you want, that team was the best national team in the world at the time and they proved it with their successful defense of their title with the same coach and same core group of players.
