I agree. Sadly there are many that think that he is overrated in his skills.

I think it's obvious for anyone who cares to pay attention. Also, I don't like his religious views.

Before L.Fabiano's second goal, the player touched the ball with his hand twice (!) and the French referee said it's nothing. Well, I guess it's really nothing, since handball goals are considered legit when France is involved.

GO KIWI POWER!!!

The gutsiest team in South Africa.

Italy are a worry, an Italian club might have won the champions league, but what good is it if hardly any Italians make it on the starting roster.

I hope some New Zealand clubs, like Wellington Phoenix, can sign up a few Italian NT players to give them some exposure to good football.

That's part of the reason I don't like him. It has nothing to do with his ability, which is very obviously overrated.

Says a yank.

But yeah, I kinda agree with you. His religious views are ****ed up.

Terrible ref. First, he saw that Fabiano did a handball on the goal, he even asked the guy, who promptly "denied". Also, the Ivorians played the game like thugs and all they got were two yellow cards. Kaká gets into two "fights", pushes a guy and then stands his ground because Keita was going to trip him and then he gets sent off?

Looks like France always manage to **** up Brasil one way or another lol.

You're right, my nationality means I don't know what I'm talking about.

You're nationality doesn't mean that you don't know what you're talking about;

However, the American folks are highly biased toward any and all proclamations of faith because the media feeds you crap about how you live in a free country and religion = corruption and all evil. Not your fault.

Haha...sure. There are religious idiots in every country. Not just in the USA.

LOL, are you kidding me? USA is extremely religious. It's not like the Netherlands or anything.

I think those are pretty poor reasons to dislike a player. Hating somebody for their religious beliefs is just intolerant... at least when they don't use religion for any wrong reasons. Kaka's faith only seems to make him a better person. I'm an atheist and hate religious nuts, but only the ones that use it to justify violence, homophobia, suppression of science, etc.

And if Kaka is overhyped, he is still humble. Save your hatred for the overhyped players who are dicks about it. This seems to fall under the category of hating players/teams just for being good.

I guess what caught me most off guard was that you said it as if he's widely hated, and he absolutely isn't. I think even the cules don't have anything bad to say about him except for his signing with Madrid.

Kader pulled a Rivaldo ... he should face the same consequences ...
None?
he was fined ... though, now that I think of it, a fine punishes an unsporting act without sporting consequences; which is sort of pointless, from a sporting perspective ... I like Keïta a lot as a player, but, for his actions, I say he gets a one-match ban ...

I hate Kaka as much as the next guy, but disgraceful play by Keita for clutching his face.

Kaka's one of the classiest players in the game, how anyone can dislike him (especially for religious beliefs - he only uses it to do good) is beyond me and can only be the opinion of someone of German descent. You people are just full of hate, aren't you? (H)

His reaction to his red card was priceless too.
