Yes, and Dunga hate lazies though.

and you consider creatures like Robinho and Adriano not lazy?

The problem is that he should pick eaither Kaka or Dinho for his first team. Kaka can't coexist with Dinho (he said in various interviews that he can't play well alongside Dinho). So Dunga made his choice, Kaka.

Btw, Spain won all big football teams except Brazil and Holland during last two years.

I think Robinho can commit himself to something for a month, particularly if it's important and new. I would never buy him if I was a club, but he can be an asset at the World Cup. Dinho on the other hand is going to go clubbing until 4am the night before games and everyone knows it.

so it's official ... everyone I named in my first post as players I wanted to see at the World Cup (and a couple more now), and who I thought would be omitted, have officially been left out ...

it is an absolute disgrace with no legitimate reason in almost every case, either because the player has been fantastic, or because the player has been fantastic AND it may be their last chance in their careers to go to the World Cup ...

what a f*cking tragedy! ruining the 2010 World Cup experience!:swear2::willis:

Maradona said he hasn't done drugs in the last 6 years...the absence of Cambiasso, Zanetti, Licha and even Lucho in the 30-man squad tells us otherwise.

You can put Löw very high on this list. He doesn't care about Kuranyi, Frings and others anymore and we lost players like Boateng (K.P.) and Jones forever because of him. If you aren't clean cut you won't play.

haha, "clean cut"?

Hate Maradona, hate Lippi, hate Domenech. Poor coaches in general who can't choose the players nor tactics for the team. I want Germany to win it but Low is too stubborn in my opinion. If they win, luck will most certainly be involved. Dunga isn't bad but he should've made space for both Ronaldinho and Pato in the squad.

That is quite an impressive list. It's really disappointing how stubborn or plain idiotic managers can frustrate millions of fans with their decisions not to call up great players for "tactical" reasons. Lippi, Domenech, and Dunga are guilty of this kind of stubbornness while Maradona is simply high.

Guys,
There were some pressure to call Ronaldinho, but absolutely none for Pato.

The biggest pressure Dunga faced was in relation to Neymar and Ganso.

Not that surprising, Argentina have a huge potential offensive, Agüero, Higuaín, Messi, Tevez, Di Maria, Milito ... but wtf its doing Heinze (H), Burdisso or Garce over G.Milito?

Argentina has no chance to crown world's champions!:)

That's because of Marradona! He left out players like Lucho,Cambiasso,Zanetti,Lisandro!

No doubt he was one of the greatest players but I think he's not that good at team managing!

I have watched 4 World Cups in my life (3 of which I could genuinely follow), and I have never before felt so much antisetiment towards so many managers as the biggest tournament approaches ...

ITALY: my disgust with Lippi has been well-documented, even on these forums, so I won't harp on about it (look at the image below for one of the main points of my protests) ... if you want to know more, let me know, and I will be more than glad to fill you in ...

FRANCE: Domenech refuses to pick Italy-based players, including the world class Sébastien Frey and Philippe Mexès (and maybe even David Trezeguet) ... his reasons include astrology, and I would suggest idiocy as well ...

ARGENTINA: Diego Maradona has decided not to pick Pupi Zanetti and Cuchu Cambiasso ... not only should they be automatic selections, but Zanetti should be the prime candidate for captaincy ... and what's worse is that Burdisso is somehow selected -- that man is a disaster waiting to happen ... there is no rational logic to Maradona's selection on this matter; but should I really have expected rationality from "El Diego"?

BRAZIL: Dunga has jettisoned the traditional ginga for an ugly fast counterattacking style ... at times, some of the natural skills do squeak through into some of their play, but it is just not often enough ... almost every football fan has a Brasil jersey somewhere in their wardrobe because Brasil bring their sublime skills to the pitch on the big occasion, and play to entertain while winning as well (one without the other is pointless as far as I am concerned) ... they won the Confederations Cup, but never has a Brazilian triumph been hailed less around the World ... as a result of Dunga's deplorable change in tactics, players who would provide flair and colour, but aren't perfectly suited to quickly sprint from their defensive box to the other end to score a quick goal on the counter, are not going to feature ... Ronaldinho has been indirectly told that, no matter what he does for Milan, he won't go to the World Cup ... Pato won't get a start ... Ronaldo, even if he gets decently fit, will likely not get picked ... Dunga has his 23 set, and his starting XI sorted ... no amount of performance from now till May will change his mind ... and no amount of showing him classic footage of the great Brazilian teams will put him off his tactical preferences ... tragic ...

Domenech disgraced!

Lippi's selection leaving with the ignominy of finishing lower than New Zealand!

Maradona's naïveté exposed (playing only one DM coz he chose to have no other option, and getting overrun against the first quality opposition they faced) ...

and Dunga and his arrogance getting sh!tted on coz he stubbornly stuck to his squad selections, coz he stubbornly stuck to jettisoning any notion of ginga for an apparent pragmatic winning system, and coz he left no room for his reputation to be based on anything other than winning the World Cup ...

awesome!
