I just don't see how anyone can stop this German team. Whether it is Spain, Paraguay, Netherlands or Uruguay. Even without Muller they still have an insane amount of talent.

I wonder who they're going to replace him with. Looking at the roster it's probably between Trachowski, Kroos, and Marin, but Trachowski is the only one who really offers the kind of workrate that can match Muller's effort.

14th World Cup goal for Klose!!!!!!! Would LOVE to see him pass Ronaldo.

I think they have the most in form team atm

but I think Spain are favorites if they meet the next round

also all you Germans who said we are bad loosers, what do you say now?

Well, at 4-0 there's really nothing you can say, but I'm glad that Argentina didn't get chippy at the end. I was terrified of Heinze going in for an ugly Roy Keane-esque challenge out of frustration.

Come on man, Germany played well but the 4-0 came out of Argentina chasing the game at 2-0. Even the second goal was against the run of play.

All in all though, Germany did deserve to go through, but the 4-0 doesn't really tell all the match story

Why is that? They hasn't been impressive so far and unless they put on some terrific performance against Paraguay I don't see why they should be considered even as an equal team, let alone favorites. Spain did beat Germany in 2008, but the German team has changed a lot since then.

lol, Germany could have end the first half with 3-0... the score its fair IMO and i was supporting Messi's team...

Help?

Germans have really surprised me. I was always confident that they are a better team than Argentina, but I never expected their forwards to score so many goals this tournament. Podolski, Klose and Muller haven't exactly had amazing seasons for their clubs. Wouldn't be surprised if Germans won the whole thing, although (most likely) Spain will be a completely different test to Argentinians.

Messi really didn't look bothered this June, he reminded me of Berbatov just sulking around, putting a few nice touches here and there but really his head just wasn't in Africa.

I never said it was an unfair result. Klose could have made it 2-0 early on but he didn't. From there I thought the game was a pretty close and wide open game. After Germany went up 2-0 Argentina fell apart and everything after that was all Germany.

In my opinion Spain has alot more quality, and they have Xavi who can control the game for them. I think its gonna be a good game, but due to their experience and their talent, I think Spain will go to the final.

I don't think spain will shine today, Paraguay its good at anti-football, but i think they will probably rape germany if beats the paraguayans before.

You're thinking about Barcelona vs. Bayern from last year. Spain does not have Messi ;)

Naah, that Germany is much better (and diferent) than Klissmann's bayern. Barça would have destroyed Bayern without messi anyway.

IMO, the toughest match for Spain till the final, its the one against Paraguay.

Excellent performance by the Germans. I'm glad they won in the way they did, can't stand Maradona. They surely missed the likes of Cambiasso and Zanetti today, eh?

Kinda feel sorry for some Argentina players though. And fans too, their squad deserved a better coach.

Maradona was never Argentina's coach, he is there only for decoration, the players are not even listening him

Muller made his first cap in the 1-0 friendly loss to Argentina back in March. After the game Muller was on the stage for the post-game press conference and was scheduled to share it with Maradona for the interviews. Maradona threw a huge fit and refused to go out until Muller went back to the locker room because he considered it an insult to share the stage with Thomas Muller. Piss off you ******* cokehead.
