Nice work VP. great kits. if u don't mind can i ask u a favor.i started kit making for FIFA 2004 today. i am passionate about kit making but not succesful.My mail problem is collar making. i am unable to make good collars or u can say resonable collars.. like the one in the attached image.....can u help me in this regard...i'll be gr8ful...

Thanks bro,

I would look in the soccergamming download section there is a kit making tutoral. It's very helpful for someone who is starting out. I used it in the begining.

As far as making collars I draw them with the freeform pen tool. I really cant tell you how to do it. In the begining its going to be hard, you just have to keep at it and then you will get a feel for what you have to do.

My collars have like 5 layers

top
vneck
shading
inner

then i use different effects on each one.

the best i can say is to just work at and dont give up

maybe you could put a download up so we could download your collar or collars in .psd format and we could then add them to our kits

make a .psd file with all the different layers you use and the effects

Curswine.........I know what a pain it is to make collars and stuff.....but you cant expect VP to hand out his collars and files......these are the things that give a kitmaker his trademarks.......you have to do what we all do sit for hours looking at collars on kits and try your best to copy them but dont make an exact copy for your kits but try to add something original........VP is a terrific guy and would give you the shirt off his back.......really.........so in case he's wondering how to answer this without looking like a prick and also not wanting to dissapoint you...........you gotta understand that this is a request that is fairly likely to be refused.........as you said ..it was just a thought and i know you will understand ..........'cos its also true that if you dont ask .....then you dont get.........keep practicing mate and good luck.........

no what i was saying is that if he just made a collar for beginners to seeing that he has probably the best collars on the board in my opinion and a lot of people trying to start off making kits might just need help and using a collar that he made will make there kits look more professional thats all

but... if you feel that strongly about it then ok

Pede thank you mate, I couldnt have said it better myself. You are one of the true great people around the SG forum. I have enjoyed all of our talks on msn. If I ever make it to England, you better have a ticket for the chelsea game waiting for me...

As far as putting my collars up for download goes, That is something that I will not do. I dont want to be a prick, but I cant do that. Work at it and if you have any questions ask me or any of the other kit makers here. Everyone is very helpful...

thanks very much VP for ur guidane. i have never used the pen tool before, but i think i will do it with ur help. i am using fifa-egypt kit making tutorials. One more favor i want to ask. are there any kind of notes for the best use of pen tool in adobe photoshop. thanks.
