Val's Road to the World Cup 2018 patch

I'm thinking of taking back this patch and finalizing it if possible. But I still don't have any help with stadiums and it seems that no one would help or do national teams missing stadiums that missing....would have been great to have a RTWC 18 patch for this season's starts...

Can someone make national teams fancards or explain how to make them?

Thanks mate, but I know for long that all those stadiums needs crowds... they have been posted at least 1000 times but any one would help. Anyway the japanese ones seems useless to me. I have even posted generic stadiums from wcup 14 game but again no reply.

Mate, I would help you on this patch, but we have no-one else to help us on the things that really matter. Kits/minis & stadiums. Faces would also be great. I'm taking all the faces for the UEFA teams from the WWT thanks to krisaju, but I haven't gone over which non-UEFA teams have new faces from FIFA17. I'm anticipating that there will be new faces too for FIFA18 for more players, at the very least from the EPL + those faces that will be in the 2018 FIFA World Cup official game to be released in April next year.

I'm only a database editor, but I can find SO much commentary strings for players from FIFA World Cup 2010 & 2014. There are also a few players by the English commentary for new players from UEFA teams (probably they anticipated the EURO license but didn't get it...) It would be good if other people helped us out, instead of calling us "askers".... :(

I'm already using some of his works for the UEFA patch. They will definitely be in this patch too, if I ask him.

Yes, Robmar agreed already I asked him month ago for using his kits in the patch when I started it. As they are some people expecting it I'll try do take it seriously back and complete it.

I have added lots of players from WCup 14 and 10 official database as players or for picking up on team calls-up.

But I'll be glad if you Robbie can relink their commentary (I have your wcup 10 db file commentary links)

@robmar85 Are you able to do the last few kits for the UEFA patch? I am using Tunevi's kits for now, but the problem is that he put the 2018 qualifying sleeves when I am using RevMod for UEFA EURO 2016 patch sleeve.

@Voleck Can you make the minikits for those UEFA kits that robmar will make?

Holy heck! Syria made it to the 4th round Asian playoffs! :D There's a big problem, None of the GKs in the 2010 or 2014 databases are in the current squads! :(

Of those that are relevant:

180862 Mosab Balhous (2010 - age 33 record cap holder - 81 caps)
180863 Adnan Al Hafez (2010 - was in the U-20 2005 World Cup Syria Squad)
195430 Kawa Hisso (2014 starting GK and most caps from the 2014 GKs)

I haven't yet gone through the outfield players, but there are at least 3 players in the regular FIFA databases, three strikers who are between 70 and 79 ratings.

@valambrosio1 Have you made the Syria team in your database?

Hey Robbie, nope, I have still not update Asian teams but I'm thinking of 2 solutions:

First one, creating the players missing but the problem is that they will have non-original id's of course, and completing the rosters like this.

Second one, composing the squads with the players existing on previous wcup databases 10 and 14 more some actual from f17 db (but only for main national teams). Then we'll have f18 surely converted db soon from ps3 game or xbox one with accurate rosters but again only for best national teams and maybe some players. Then second is waiting until wcup 18 database in april to import all missing players with original ids and fully update all rosters up to date. The only problem here is that we'll surely miss a few players until then in all minors or second rank national teams. what's your point of view?

To be honest, with the way things are going (with the stadiums in particular), we can probably wait until april 2018... :/ Also, Syria won't get past the Socceroos! xD

explain me, please, why the new&old databases matching is so important? why can't you simply overwrite ids and assign the first free ones?

It's because of the importance of matching real player IDs (according to the FIFA databases). Some players have commentary strings for the playernames table, but some players from the WC databases have their own player ID specific commentary as well. Also, some players may have different spelling of names between databases, so having the right ID helps with finding the commentary string for the same player in the player names.
