Using a D-pad or Left stick?

What's the general concensus for better movement control - D-pad or Left stick?

I was primarily a D-pad user until (gasp!!!) FIFA04, when I went and bought my first analogue controller. The transition was pretty smooth to the stick, but I've read some folks still prefer the D-pad.

I use the d-pad. Don't ask me why, just find it a bit hard maneuvering (spelled correct?) with the analog stick.

Analogue stick for me. It's not as rough on the thumb.

D-pad on my pc gamepad as the duel stick are same position as ps2 which i dont like, when i play Xbox I use analogue as the stick is situated much better (closer to the left hand side).

the Analogue stick for sure - once i learnt hwo to use it there was no turnin back.

ANalog stick. Means that you **** up soimetimes, but better range of movement.

it has few flaws due to not supporting all directions by PES series (only 8 instead) so sometimes when you'd like to turn 45 degree it turns 90 and that sux

but overall I like it most
